Rusters feck the big shop. They say now shop a few times in different places - save money & less stress - I'm 100% for that.
Very satisfying to get a bargain.

Morning,
IamMary............there's very little craft done its more of a chatting group.............I got one line of knitting done then got chatting to a lovely woman who has 50 years plus sobriety. There's a woman doing a cross-word since I started going 5/6 weeks ago.

We do our big shop at Lidl or Aldi and if we can't get it there nip up to Tesco or one of the big names. Saved a fortune.

satz123..................2 things why won't they let him use his bike......YS is doing wonderfully but puzzled why he can't use his bike........do they think he's going to whizz off to the boozer?

I feel your pain..........I've got my shoes for the wedding of the year ( Jenny and Ads) and I'm practicing walking in heels. I don't half look daft in my dressing gown.

Another gallivant tonight we're going to a quiz. Its at the gym (David Lloyd if you want to look it up) my friend goes to. We won 6 times in a row before Christmas and got our photo in their in-house magazine. Fame at last.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Yep I think they are afraid of the whizzing off to boozer or maybe it's a safety thing - stupid really that it may be a deal breaker.

I CAN't walk in heels - hence the searching for something with height that I'll wear again.
If they're too cheap they will KILL me ....... if expensive they'll end up back in box forever.

Re: April Army 2020

I too can't understand the bike thing -- sounds like someone's on a power trip -- always thought secondary care was a bit hands off --- just once you stayed sober they left you at it to start living again.... what do I know tho!!

Evening all -- not long in and truly dog tired -- I know I'm like a broken record but it's so very very busy at work and too many lazy young'un's leaving the work to anyone who'll pick up the pieces -- I sit on my hands as much as I can but it's easier just to get the work done and move along... drives me insane.

anyways -- nearly the nice long weekend -- hopefully himself can relax a little bit -- he's painted the whole house over yonder -- and our bedroom is virtually finished and ready to move into... this place needs a bit of a clean up then get thinking bout renting it out.. just not this weekend -- rest is on the menu!

that's it -- hope yiz are all keeping well.... not a bit of news these parts

Would you stop.. I am in awe that your so calm in the chaos. Sleep and Rosie help. And shoe shopping.
I'm a flatform lady. I find marco moreos fantastic. Usually get thrm in the sale as they are not cheap, but outlast every other brand by decades! Mind you, might be a bit chunky for a wedding.
Kids. Exams. Junior cert and 5th year.

Poor you Molly, at least your on countdown now. You should be throwing your feet up on the table and lighting a cigarette. They might bring your last date forward

I'm with you on the big shop Rustop. I probably do 3 big shops every week with the bottomless pits here!! Not loyal to any shop...

50 years sober!! What age did she stop drinking at JackieClaire? I bet there are not many wo make that milestone.

Have to go into the office tomorrow. That means making an effort at 7am.. the bother of that.
Confirmation next Sat (youngest). Also have a shoe crisis. Plus my marathon toes are not pretty.. 3 black toenails, 2 completely missing. Several threatening to fall off and the rest grew back weird. Tried the stick on ones but they fall off and look ridiculous :haha: 1st world problems!

YS need to take up running until he gets the bike back! Loads of clubs dotted around the country, they'd be thrilled to have him.

Morningish,
IamMary................she looked like she was in her mid 80s and still dresses like a hippy. I really enjoyed talking to her. I know a bloke coming up to his 50th anniversary............he stopped in his 20s. He's the bloke that started the Oaktree re-habs up here. You'll have to have a google.

I remember when the the S&H was about 11 and grew about 2 inches every week. We were forever buying him school trousers.

The bride to be has a room set aside so I'll be so once we've done all the meet and greet hand shaking and the ceremony and photos are done I'll be grabbing my flats. I've also got a teeny handbag (I can just about get my phone and purse in it) so my proper handbag will be in there as well. Tbh I'd put my jeans and a sweatshirt in there as well if I could................but Jenny will kill me.

I'm wiped out with all this gallivanting and just waiting to a) feed the dog b) go back to bed.............I'll tell Mr JC that I'm testing my new pajamas that he bought me for my birthday

Mers - he did something to his achilles and can't run anymore like he'd want.
I think I'll have to do 'Mammy of poor alky lad' & insist on bike being allowed for health purposes.

Mammy duties NEVER end folks - just a warning.

Afternoon everyone

Agree Satz and it sounds crazy, if his hobby was darts and he wanted to go into a pub setting I could understand but clearing his head out on a bike can only be beneficial.

No wonder you are exhausted from all the gallivanting JC but great that you are getting out. Himself gone fishing, my SIL coming up tomorrow and we are climbing Lugnaquilla Sunday. Apart from that nothing else planned.

Lovely long weekend. Yay! Sorry Satz. And absolutely, do whatever it takes to get YS exercising. Really important for his head.
Like the idea of testing new pjs all weekend, not going to happen. Lugnaquilla will be lovely on Sunday Rustop, I remember doing it years ago, im sure it hasnt changed much :haha:

Morning,
Long weekend here as well and another one of 4 days at the end of the month to celebrate the Queen being on the throne 70 years.
satz123........sorry you have to work though this one but think of it as putting money into your big holiday or buying more flat shoes.
