God that day sounds FAB - I'm jealous as feck ! I'm stuck here with an alko, drunk-again son & grumpy husband.
Keep an eye out for a house for me up there
I'd love a clean break. but apparently MrS not keen - says he would miss his little network of friends he's built up since retiring.
Understandable - but he'd strike up a conversation with Jack the Ripper - so could make new buddies anywhere.Last edited by satz123; July 5, 2022, 01:17 AM.

You're not going to believe this but just got a card congratulating us on becoming Grandparents.
Hope your eye soon ok JC. They have cards for everything now. Enjoy being grandparents, seems a lovely stage.
Sorry to hear about YS, on the plus side last weeks proposition can now be firmly put to sleep. All we can do is be here for you and hope and pray that something eventually sticks.
Love Lough Cara, crystal clear water. Mayo is a big county. We are nearly an hour away from there on Lough Conn. No wonder people are moving with the price of houses and depending on where you are if internet is good you can work remotely.
At work today, just on my lunch break. Heading west tomorrow.

Re: July Army 2022
Hallo Army!!
Greetings from a lovely, warm but not hot, hot Athens - 32C at the moment!! I think the Mary-wan is due to land in this sunny land within the next few days. Supposed to meet up. Very excited!!!
lifechange - Elsie!!!! Great news!! I always thought counting days was silly until I started to and then I realized the satisfaction you get as the number gets bigger and bigger. Well done, missy!! :yay:
Satzy - congrats on the weddng anniversary!
I don't know what to say about YS. I can well understand how you'd like to just hop in your car and say to hell with all of them. Always a spare bed at chez Stirly if you want to take a wee vacation in Greece and stay in a new part of the country...
Jacks - that card was a very thoughtful gesture. Never seen one like that, even in Canada. Certainly not here.
Rusters - enjoy your time at the cottage.
Molly - good you got to spend time with your girls. Love spending time with my wee guy. They grow up fast, tho'!!
Waves to Tabbers and to any who may be lurking.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your day. inkele:
For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.
AF since 10/10/2015:yay:

Re: July Army 2022
Back from a lovely day in Howth.
MrS, me & Rosie.
Rosie had a ball on Burrow Beach - chasing anything & everything.
Then we tended to my father's grave 'cos my mother said she will haunt me if I don't keep it nice for her :haha:
And then to The Summit for Chicken wings, Scampi & Chips .... yum.
One of the good days that we've been missing 'cos we didn't want to leave YS on his own to give in to temptation.
Realised over the weekend .... he doesn't care - he'll brazen it out .... and drink anyway ........ so feck that.
Left him to his own devices - not babysitting any more.
He could be in his room - or not - I don't care.
