No sun here either Jacks....have to say ..I've never seen a raspberry hedge....anywhere...we also are gonna have a fab crop of wild blackberries....super love blackberries...actually ...now that I think of it...Joe used to make blackberry wine in 5 gallon containers:egad:....and I wonder what happened to me!!!!

Afternoon everyone

I’ve never seen a raspberry hedge either, very jealous. Wish I would unearth something like that in our wilderness. Might have gooseberries, that’s it. Electric gates are a pain when the power goes. We have a manual key but half the time it won’t work. Neighbours have worked out how to give it a tap/bang with hammer and it gets them open.

Working week nearly over. Have to say I’m looking forward to going west. Bed being delivered on Friday. Gave up on the blow up one. Weather promised nice so will be enjoying the lake.

We got airbeds and they did the job for a while but lurved getting my own bed...

hi Army!!

realized i was MIA from MWO yesterday.. had a bit of a hard time with one colleague being off on vacay, the other one having covid..
today i'm under par and won't go in to work.. lots to do next week!!

talk of raspberries and blackberries!! yum.. i was meant to visit my best friend this weekend.. tons of raspberries and strawberries and currants (our fave, Molls! what did you end up doing with yours?).. but she's now most likely cancelled due to covid.. stupid covid..

Satz, for me, it's like you say.. i just feel better when i have a bit less weight and more importantly for me, is that i'm exercising and not losing muscle.. i feel the difference at my job, with what i can lift and not! had to look up "wan" to see what you were all talking about!:happy2:

I made a big pot of a sort of sauce/jus...divided it up into small amounts for the freezer...should be lovely with duck or with ice cream...lots of things actually...also made some jam...its lovely too..but still haven't touched the surface of them..the bushes are laden with almost bunch of grapes sized currants...anyway when finally finished fruiting I'll cut them back a good bit to make room for gooseberries and some cultivated raspberries...its too hard to access a lot of them in a 6 ft hedge!
My polytunnel will be finished this morning...I remember many moons ago when wireless broadband was but a dream...all dial-up that cost a heap to access...looking at my brand new computer and wondering what the hell to DO with it....bit like that with my polytunnel...but I'll get there!!!

Yeah I'm guessing JC is living in Alfie's house :thumbsup: and yeah...looking forward to hearing about Mary and Stirly's meet up!
We had a lovely day ..went swimming with the 2 lassies and then out to Moore Hall for a picnic...home to a Chinese...really lovely! The polytunnel is complete so now I have to work out what way to lay it out...I ordered some books online but they haven't arrived. Still no Internet so very limited in my knowledge....I'll get there!
Sposed to be a scorcher the next week so going to fill the days with sunloungers and swimming
Hope everyone is okay...yes Elsie...let us know how this sober life is playing out? Don't be afraid of down days or anxious days...they are all a learning curve to longterm sobriety...don't forget you had drinking as a large part of your life for a long time ...so it takes a bit of time to learn about living without it...not just living either...loving living!
