I nearly apologised to Max tonight..after he'd gone to bed I was inspecting me garden ...was out at front gate and it wasn't the cows.. (cattle...really?) he was trying to get to...he'd dropped his very precious ball out the gate ;-)
Teaching myself yeast bakery ...hence the hotpress...and it was lovely!
Awful hot here tonight...and nosey neighbour told me not to leave my window wide open cos bats might come in....ffs....cows and bats!!

Satz, thats crazy, the fan situation at your work!! pleaaaase.. after 2 years of this, they can figure it out.. right_ thank goodness you have your little fan!! hadnt realized you were in customer services before.. did you have to do a lot of retraining to get into the field youre in.. i can imagine its so much more rewarding to be dealing with people in the flesh..

i am having some weird problems with my computer atm.. think i need to turn it completely off!! new keyboard, it looks like..

Oh yes LC - much cooler & fresher - a relief for all.
Well ....... me deffo.

Thank feck no work today - have to go get my big toenail seen to. It went discoloured (fungal infection ?) & I just ignored it. Now it's cracked and needs attention before it falls off.
€65 just for them to glance in your direction when you walk in.
Another sign of age - I always associate Chiropody with old ladies .... ugh !!

Morning all

My toenails drop off from time to time Satz, just see it as an occupational hazard. Since horses, running and always having my feet clad in walking boots I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Those fungal treatments I have never found to be successful and using them for months on end is a bind. Would love to wear sandals but probably best not :haha:

Love country living molls. We have bats in the garden too. Chuck a pebble into the air at dusk and you will see them dive bombing it.

Cool and dull here which is a relief. Would be nice to be a bit brighter but not complaining after the last few days.

Anxiety has come to call again today. No idea why, detest it so will just rest and chill today and hope it passes.

Noticing changes now too, doc said leave it a few months and we will look at hrt if I want it. Problem is the symptoms are subtle.. what if they are not hormone related!

Agree with the subtle symptoms. I am 58 and post menopausal for about 5 years. I only realised that my issues could be meno when pointed out to me and reading back diaries. From what I have read, I would say HRT sooner rather than later is the way to go. They are made from Yams these days. What could be more natural than that!

Morning everyone

Many congrats on 7 years Mary, it is indeed a wonderful achievement. Holiday sounded lovely. Did you manage to meet up with Stirly?

Love country living too but was reared in it. We rented a coach house down in Waterford last year and bats were roosting in the roof. It was amazing each evening watching them come out. See them here too if we are sitting out on the patio at night.

Good luck Satz. Hate feet too, Don’t know how beauticians manage to do pedicures, would hate that job. You lucky thing Molly, broadband and your tunnel, you are living the dream.

I have water, pure luxury last night having a normal shower. It’s the little things.

Things have cooled down here. Hope they do for you too LC.

Morning again --- lovely walk down at the river with Max --- little fecker did a big poo and I'd not brought the poo bags --- MORTO --- anyways -- rooted around in my basket and found a sort of polly pocket thingy -- bit of a mess but thankfully a poo bin just up the road...I spend my LIFE giving out about people who don't pick up so think I'd have used my hand if necessary -- thankfully not:welldone: sorry too much information??

Discovered not only do I have Broadband I have a landline.. . didn't want one or need one -- but sure -- it's free ;-) playing with it just now like it was a new invention -- I can ring out on it but no one can ring in -- PERFECT HAHA!!

I've that anxiety thing coming out my ears Starty -- I'd say back in the 50's they'd have put women on valium or something - but never got any relief from anti-d's -- now they are muttering that THEY don't work for anything.... jaysus? Can't imagine it's menopause related as I'm 65 -- bout 20 years after onset!!

I echo that, was only thinking the same earlier.

Same thing happened me at a park run Molly. Used to always have bags in the car but with Covid we were not going anywhere. Managed to find a tiny one in door of car and sure enough had to use it. Was terrified the rest of the time in the park that he would go again.

Ach I'm not that bad --- 'twas in Co Dublin we got overrun by rats many moons ago -- a farmland next door to us was sold to a builder and when he started digging up the ground the rats ran into our garden to escape!!!! and yup we have a septic tank -- but the QS said it's self-sufficient -- doesn't need anything ever doing to it -- so that's okay too!! now BATS..... yup I close the windows at night ;-)

Can't believe anyone would be annoying the MOB -- mother of anyone really - well unless my daughter was 18 getting married or something -- but surely two adults getting married deal with the queries about the wedding -- oh please god let my shower keep on living in sin:hahaha:
My biggest risk was Adam -- but he very firmly announced that marriage is a 'failed concept' whatever the feck that means haha!!

Simon 'popped in' today... like it's a fair old distance to 'pop' to --- was lovely to see him tho and we had a lovely afternoon -- Max loved having him around --- UNTIL -- Simon sat in 'Joe's' chair -- omg he nearly dragged him out of it --- very funny so it was.

Right --- might go to bed -- so good having Netflix and stuff like that again -- and a laptop --- the novelty of proper typing is amazing -- hence all these big long posts (don't worry -- I'll get over it!!)
