Its because they do very few in person appointments now and mostly on the telephone so they dont actually schedule a time, well only am or pm. I knew it would be that way so was able to book it on my day off. I have private health care Molls but this was HRT chat so its best to stick with the prescriber in this case. But absolutely, whenever I dont get what I need, I trot off to private as I did with my back. The Gp just gave me valium to relax my muscles but I actually have bulging discs and a at that time a torn ligament. Valium wasn't cutting it. Your health care system sounds better than ours Molls!

We also have private dentist and its horrendously expensive. JC if I could go NHS I absolutely would but they are as rare as hens teeth round here. Hope your tummy gets better soon!

Satz, I am sorry he's at it again. Maybe its time for him to pack his bags as you said. They say someone has to reach rock bottom to start coming up, perhaps he is not there with you guys sorting him out? Where does he get the money from? I walk round the supermarket and look at the price of it all and cannot imagine how expensive it is to support a habit these days
I couldn't afford to either drink or smoke..I'd love to know how he manages it! The lad on the plane to Spain has drunk his way through 200k lump sum and barely manages on 75k pension

Bon voyage Molly, enjoy. Hope you had good day yesterday too Satz and are looking after yourself.

God this weather is only beautiful. Walked the dogs again at 7 am so going to do the same as them now, lie back and enjoy it.

Double edged sword Mary, on the one hand it saves you running around but on the other you are sitting at home worrying about them.

Glad you had good consult with the doctor Starty.

starty....................two hours isn't bad. I'm on ante-presentments and the doctor said she would ring just to see how I was getting along(I was about 6 months in) and I remember carrying my phone everywhere.
She rang while I was in the bathroom having a pee when she rang. I just had to sit there like an eejit while we chatted.

Had a long chat with Jenny this morning. The dress is being delivered to her future mother-in-law and we've got to go down to York and get it.

Got to go and get Mikey in its so hot he'll melt.

13 days to go :egad:
It could be worse, I could be filing.

Have a blast Molly, what fabulous weather you'll have for it.
We have taken small boats out on the Shannon a few times and it's just magic.

Did a lovely walk from the Battle of the Boyne visitor centre (fabulous spot), into drogheda and back earlier. Bit too hot for the folks, but they are well able for the 10k walk. Took a day off!!

How's that tummy JackieClaire? They say it's a different story altogether, a daughters wedding, vs a sons. I can see it already, my daughters have discussrd their dresses and venues already, son says he'll never marry. There will be zero pressure from this camp anyway!

Now I'm worried about him driving! I will be worried sick constantly but might have to suck it up.

Morning everyone,

I can imagine what its like worrying about everyone in the family. My family is so small now but if it was bigger or I had kids, sure I would be permanently overwhelmed!

Have a good holiday Molls. We have booked a break end of Sept which will will be lovely I'm sure.
satz123 I wondered if you would be interested in a forum that supports families of addicts? It might help with ideas and support? Chat to others | Adfam Hope you are doing OK.

Its boilio scorchio here again today. 2 more days and then we get some rain. The dogs are really struggling overnight but seem ok in the day. I have a heavily panting golden retriever sharing my room. Its like trying to sleep with a nuisance caller

Have a good one all

Ha ha, that gave me a laugh Starty. Morning everyone else. Our big fella sleeps up in the living room. The smallies come down with us and their own beds. Little one snores, she can be even louder than himself!

I was awake between 3.30 and 4.30, too hot even with window open. Walked at 7 am again. It will be strange going back to normal temperatures again.

Still catching up after the hols. Anyone got anything nice planned for weekend?

Morning,
Have to keep dragging Mikey in from the garden as its so hot. satz123 he hasn't been bee eating............... yet.

Tummy more or less back to normal but I'm sooooooooooo tired.

The big test this weekend is to get the bed settee down from the back bedroom.

Lol re the snoring! I cannot share with Mr S because his snoring is out of this world. His mum is the same and they have separate beds too. So its definitely a family trait!! So I share with my boys, one of whom snores, snorts and grunts and the other (lurcher) who likes most of the bed. No wonder my sleep is fecked. When I was in hospital having my hip done, they put these pumps on my legs that sounded just like heavy breathing dogs. I found it comforting :haha:

This weekend I am doing my chores then avoiding the heat so nowt special really but probably quite pleasant.

I will probably moan like hell when normal temps resume !
