Re: Who asks for help?
I went through a doctor which eventually lead to a detox program. I also let close friends and family know what I was going through (not in person in initially), which was initially terrifying but a huge relief in the end, and all the non-judgemental support i received was truly amazing.Last edited by Mulburry; January 25, 2023, 10:35 PM.

Re: Who asks for help?
Welcome back Kev
I remember going to the doctor with something else but hinting about drinking too much - but I never asked out straight for help.
I went to a hypnotherapist - but again never said how bad it was. She gave me some 'ol bollox that never worked.
I like to fix myself by myself when I can, so ended up here at MWO in 2009. Read the book bought all the supplements. Didn't work.
So in 2011 I came back and this time I read & read & read. I only started posting properly when I found the 'Army' thread.
Whatever magic with the posters was on there it 'clicked' with me.
I WANTED what the sober folk on there had.
I got it in the end & almost 10 years later it's still the best thing I've ever done !Last edited by satz123; January 26, 2023, 02:44 AM.
