Re: April Army Assembly
Hi folks. Heading home today. Really had an enjoyable time with the granddaughter. I feel strong and positive. So, I am good with the situation. I will be taking good care of myself emotionally, physically m, and spiritually. Of course, I will add a bit of craziness as I plan on doing another extreme hike in The Sierras with some friends. The snow is still an issue but we are starting to get some melt. Praying for all in need. Blessings and I am grateful for your support xoxoOutside of a dog a book is mans best friend. Re: April Army Assembly
Good morning everyone
Glad you are ok with diagnosis Techie and got to spend time with your granddaughter. Enjoy the communion Molly. Hard to believe it is that time of year.
Just climbed local mountain and there was snow on top! Doing Snowden next weekend so wanted to get a climb in. Feet up now with audio book.

Love my audiobooks Rusters...Read the Wheel of Time books a long time ago so decided to re-read them now...but had forgotten how many twists and turns and characters there are..so I've put them on audio as well and re-listening at night....it's comfortable cos I know the main story line etc. but I'm picking up on bits I've missed...loving it!

Re: April Army Assembly
I've just finished Paper Cup by Karen Campbell. It's on audible, borrow box. I was sorry when it ended!! Great story (alcoholic woman who became homeless) and beautifully written.
Well done techie. We might have a new phrase now, when you push yourself out there, despite circumstances, your 'doing a Techie'
Fair play Rustop, Snowden!! Are a few of you doing it?
Run and shopping done. Beautiful day out there..Last edited by IamMary; April 23, 2023, 06:48 AM.AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:

Oh bless you all. Great beautiful morning here in The Sierras. I’ve always said, if you don’t believe in God, spend a day here. It will change your thinking. Off on a long walk with Mrs Techie. Have a lovely rest of your day.Outside of a dog a book is mans best friend. Inside of a dog its too dark to read

Re: April Army Assembly
Just reading back, I see some recommendations for books. Personally I’ve never listened to an audiobook nor used a kindle, despite my being offered one for free. Guess I’m just old school, love the feel and smell of a real book. Now speaking of recommendations I have recently finished one of the most beautiful and amazing books I have ever read and that’s saying something for I read a heck of a lot. You know one of those books that you instantly know that will end up years later dog eared on your bookshelf because you have reread it so often? ‘Seed to dust’ by Marc Hamer, I loved it.Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

Morning all
Thanks for the book recommendations. I love the real thing too and it?s a real treat to have a book but I find BorrowBox fantastic. No running back to the library and no stacks of books for re cycling.
Dreadful morning here. Did get a walk in but came back soaked. Work today and I officially begin my double jobbing (somebody left and not being replaced). I?ll do what I can, can?t do any more.

Re: April Army Assembly
Hi everyone. Off to golf. We had a wonderful two hour walk yesterday amongst the wildflowers. BTW, Where The Forest Meets The Stars by Glendy Vanderah is the best novel I have read since Crawdads. I highly recommend it. In fact, I am so excited about it, I may do another pass. I have not done that since reading The Shadow Of The Wind. Have a beautiful day. Blessings x
P.S. I have a kindle full of books. I just look at it. The kindle not the content. I love holding a book and turning the page and just can’t quite warm up to e-reader.Outside of a dog a book is mans best friend. Inside of a dog its too dark to read
