    Re: April Army Assembly

Hi all. It has taken me years to quiet my monkey mind. I had to teach myself that the thoughts in my head are just thoughts. They are not really me. I am just the observer. So, one could say the ego is the thought and the soul or higher self is the observer. Meditation has become my staple. I start my day with meditation and breath work. 20 minutes and I am done. It begins with something I am grateful for m, my spouse, my sobriety, the warm Sun, etc. anything that gets me out of my head and more toward something positive. We all struggle with life. It is not easy. So, when overwhelm sets in, I go to a naturopathic pill that really works. It?s called Calms Forte. The company is Hylands. They are available on Amazon and they work. I hope this helps!?

Love hugs and light to all. Now I?m heading out for a run. When I just can?t do that anymore I will walk. Very quickly until I cannot, hahaha. Blessings x

My wife has a MS in Spiritual Psychology. I attended two weekend sessions were she went to school in 2012. After I quit the drinking &!drugging I immersed myself in the principles and practices. I find it a wonderful way to live life.

Morning all! Joe found a dentist....PTL!!!!!!
So off up.....over?.....down?.....to Claremorris ...bit of a day out...might grab lunch.
This day 41 years ago my first baby was born...we had waited for him for 5 years so this us a very very precious day in our calendar.
He's a good lad...and in comparison to his 3 siblings I can honestly say he has given us very little grief...as his granny used to say 'A always seems to do things the right way round'.. she must be smiling from afar right now cos he's the only one who will achully get married before the babies.....she'd be delighted:goodjob:
        Contentedly sober since 27/12/2011

          Good morning everyone

Think there is a nice walk in Claremorris or maybe it?s Kiltimagh, I mix all those towns up. Anyway enjoy your jaunt out Molly and delighted you found a dentist. Bet it?s hard to believe you have a 40+ year old baby!

No wonder you sound so zen Techie, like Satz whatever works for you. A good few of us have found a release in exercise. Any big races coming up Mary?

Nothing much planned for today, just back from a long walk with my friend. Shout out to JC, hope she?s ok.

You raise an interesting question, Molly. Recreational marijuana is legal here and occasionally I consider giving it a try. I had always thought it was non-addictive but as I hear of more and more people struggling with addiction to it, I've become fearful of messing with it. I just don't want to be dependent on any substance ever again.

Your understanding is lovely, Techie. Totally in line with Buddhism, Tolle, the 3 Principles, and all other approaches to non-duality. Like you, Satz, my very logical mind/ego struggle with accepting that everything is connected. Occasional glimpses make the struggle worth it, though.

Are y'all going to jump to a May thread???

Satz, I think of you and your son often and so hope he realizes he can change. xx
