Re: How many times have you said never again?
That depends on who you are Kev. Some people do the same thing over and over again despite bad results. Some people say never again and stick with it. I think it probably has a lot to do with your drive to drink and the reasons behind it.

Originally posted by Mulburry View PostExactly. In my binge drinking days, even though a really bad hangover could make the thought of Al disgusting, I never really said "never again". But when I finally did, I quit and haven't had a drink since (over 1.5 years now). You have to really want it and be determined, it can't just be a whimsical in the moment fancy brought on by a hangover.

Re: How many times have you said never again?
I would say that every day after drinking and in the past I would forget it within a week. When on that fateful day I nearly fell asleep at the memorial service I said never again and this time meant it.
3 years sober and I will get back to where I was by taking it ODAATI quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.
Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.
Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.
