Although I am reading the good and bad, it gives us talking points and he is aware of the dodgy stuff. I think at first, I just wanted to keep him positive but over time he has taken control of his health and I can sit back and relax more. At the beginning though being the person I am, I felt the need to control at bit. Thankfully no real need to do that unless he is on a bit of a downer and I can shove some positivity his way. What I am trying to say and probably not very well is its defo a team effort.

Mary, is Mr M able to work at all? I hope that he is able to find some comfort in knowing what is wrong can move forward from there a bit.

Roasting here this weekend. After the cold weather we have had (heating on again last week) it is a pleasant change. It would be nice if it could settle so its less extreme.
Sounds like you're both dealing with things very well....I remember as a teenager my mum's consultant told me that the breast lump my mum had removed was non-cancerous....despite the fact it was...my poor old mum was left in a terrible situation...obviously she eventually had to tell me but it made it twice as bad for her...what a muppet he was....so I suppose since then I think I have a thing about dealing with illness...

Beyond hot here today...even the poor old dog didn't want to go for a walk...had enough now....let's get back to Irish weather...much healthier:applouse:

Evening everyone

Yea all the posts there now. Very frustrating. Work getting worse by the day. Girl I job share with is looking for statutory redundancy if they are getting rid of reception role. Another girl about to go on maternity leave has started a grievance procedure again head of HR. Kept the head down, did my bit and got out of there.

We had rain today but it is still very warm and humid. Find the only time to walk the dogs is first thing in the morning.

I'm in Dublin now and first time I've seen rain in 4 weeks!!

When I found work tough over the years Rusters I used to just tell myself 'show up Monday to Friday/Saturday...get paid every 2nd Thursday and anything else is a bonus'. I'm sure it'll settle down again...it's very sad when companies consider reception jobs unnecessary...it's usually the first face of the company people meet...and so important imo.

Doing Jilly's garden tomorrow so grabbing an early night.

We've a SMALL house rented in Kerry for a month in a couple of weeks....told the family to come down but preferably not all together as the house is.....SMALL....guess what....yeah ...school breaks up 30th June....the whole shagging lot descending!!!!

Your gang craic me up Molly, no getting rid if them! My parents probably have the same conversations about us!

Thanks again guys for all the words of encouragement and advice. No doubt I'll be talking about this for years! starty, i also want positivity right now and so far so good. He's not in a position to do his current job, but maybe he can do manual labour or something once his work end his employment in August.

Are they really getting rid of the reception role Rustop?

We've bats in the garden too. Freak me out. We have fly screens on all the bedroom windows and thru work out great. Mr m just cut them down to size and attached them to a wooden frame which he attached to the window. It was simple enough and does the job.

Looks like that?s what they want to do Mary. All machines and phones, no human contact. Not a fan myself of that model but looks like that?s becoming the norm. It?s impossible to talk to a human in customer service any more.

Wish himself was into DIY. I?ll have to come up with a solution. With velux it?s a bit more difficult.

Sun is out in the east again, you must have brought it with you Molly. Lucky, lucky daughter, no wonder they are following you to Kerry.

Waves to everyone else.

Evening...
I don't know Rustop, I think a lot of these things will go full circle. Although AI now will dilute that theory as we won't know who we are talking to soon, a real person or a machine.
Still, when I moved car insurance recently I went with AA as I got a person to actually discuss what I needed.. rather than an online quote.

Roasting hot. I'm baking. I don't know anyone with air-conditioning in ireland but wondering if it might be a thing in our not so distant future!

Good morning everyone

Know I am not book ending, can see Mary posted last night but can?t read it.

Anyway fabulous morning here. Just walked the dogs, going to potter around the garden for a bit and need to start getting rooms ready for the visitors at weekend. That?s the plan anyway. Will check in later to see if I can read any more.

Ah figured it now, maybe it?s a ploy to get more people posting? Once I posted above post, Molly and Mary?s posts appeared. Gardens could do with some rain, sick of watering. Himself back from fishing trip so he can take over.

Interesting gardening fact from a real life horticulturalist...thunder and lightening releases nitrogen into the air and plants thrive on it.
As I'm probably sharing that little known fact with just myself I'll leave it there for now ;-)

I'm here and enjoying your gardening tidbits..
Actually, I never have issues seeing posts, so wondering if it's cookies?
I usually use an in private or incognito (depending on your browser) when I'm looking at stuff (avoiding the same ads following me around)..

Will one of you try that, at least we can rule in or out as a workaround
3 dots on the top right corner of your browser will open a private/incognito window)

Melting here. Every window and door open. Icecream van coming to work tomorrow, the excitement!
