Re: Happy Army July

My excuse is that this is a mad house.
satz123, your poor brother, hes really hanging in there. Is he bed bound or still able to get around?

We will hold our breath for YS. Good on him.

Middle DD is on the way home from Longitude, probably regretting now the hankies (aka clothes) she left this morning in, telling me that she wont be cold! I made her take a jumper. Some of them just had skin to keep warm.

Going to read back the end of June. seriously, where did that month go.

On the porch satz123, I think you are right to go with the classics - grey is fading out now, its navy and greens everywhere.

Whens the galway half rustop59? I think after this marathon, ill go back to halves too..

Happy July Techie and all to come. Belated happy anniversary Satz, where have all those years gone, I was a baby too, married at 22. Delighted YS still sober. Your poor brother, a lot to be said for heart attacks.

Think the half marathon is October Mary. She has never run that far so it is motivating her. Grey morning here but got a walk in. Going to pack up in a while and head back.

It hard to know which is the lesser evil. Quick and unexpected or prolonged for a long time.

Good on your daughter, its a great distance, she'll do great once she follows a good plan.

Quite today. Run and went shopping with my daughters. The older one was supposed to be at longitude again, but I think she had enough yesterday. I had to wake her at 1pm today! She is currently bleaching her hair white in advance of red. :yikes1:
Surprise day off tomorrow which im thrilled about (its a work day and most of us had forgotten about it). I have so much to catch up on.

Hope everyone is well and sober

Evening everyone

Good to see you Tabs. Hope you enjoyed your day off Mary. Very quiet on the boards, maybe people are on their summer holidays or the site is in its dying days. Hope everyone is doing ok.

Work today and visitors coming back tomorrow so it will be a busy few days.

Oh no, am so so sorry Molly. There I was thinking you were living it up in Kerry, you poor pet. They really become part of the family and steal your heart. Take care of yourself and Joe.

Ah no Molly. I am so sorry to hear that.
Come back and chat when your feeling up to it.
rustop59, hope all good with the visitors.

YS and greece (speaking of.. absolutely tragic the 3 young lads dying over there. I know one was a bit older a few weeks ago. The other 2 were pals. Heartbreaking.
My friend was here having lunch with me on Friday when the news was coming though. Her son is there at the moment, he went to the same school, but he didn't know them v well).
Anyway. YS. I'd be taking him. I think its too early to leave him on his own. If he wants to go, he has to agree never to be on his own. Take his wallet, phone if he's going for a walk.
Whatever it takes.

If we setup a group chat, fb or WhatsApp, we may never come back here. Thoughts?

Not to be a Debbie downer but what would the difference be if the thread were here or Facebook? It would still be the same people wouldn't it? At least here, there are drop ins from time to time. I know I have no right to comment as Im not here every day

Molls tried to message you but your box is full

I remember the underoos thread, it was brilliant. God I miss those days when there was so many stories to keep up with. And the scraps :haha:

I'd LOVE to know where they all are now.
Morning everyone

That?s one of the reasons I would like to hold onto the thread, we always wonder what has happened to people when they disappear. It is nice to be here for them if they do decide to return or maybe lots read but don?t contribute?

I think YS should go. If he stays at home you will be worrying and just think of the sense of achievement for him if he gets a sober holiday under his belt. Mary made a few good suggestions too.

Thinking of you Molly

I'm so sorry about Max, Molly. There are so many dog lovers on this thread who understand how painful this loss is.

Satz, that is good news about your son. May his sobriety continue!!
