Re: Happy Army July
Morning everyone
Try Wildlands in Moycullen Mary. New adventure place. We gave tickets to hubbys grand nieces who are home from the US for their birthdays during the year and they had a ball. New babies are precious, enjoy your cuddles.
We are off to beyond the trees today. Visitors last day, they are going back to USA tomorrow. We managed to bbq yesterday evening and sit out which was great.

Re: Happy Army July
Hello all, I noticed Rustop post took a while to arrive this morning however, the glitches do seem much better on the whole.
I have a challenging week coming up next week. Funeral Monday (the company owners dad who I was very very fond of) and Wednesday we start the big journey to Leeds which is miles away from where we live to have Mr S bowel procedure. We have to take the dogs to his parents, do the bowel prep while we are there and then travel up to Leeds the following day. I am dreading it all. Will be so relieved when its all over. Oh and I have a blood test on Tuesday plus a very busy week that I have to fit into 2 short working days :egad:
Getting old is not for the feint hearted :haha:

Re: Happy Army July
It is a colonoscopy of which he has had several this year to remove polyps. This polyp is so big that our hospital are not confident to remove it as they are worried about perforating his bowel. So they have had to find a surgeon at the other end of the country who apparently has removed these types before. It is worrying.
Totally agree with that, and the only thing we have is our health so we must look after it as best we can

Good to see you JC. You have had a rough time health wise the past while. As Starty said it is indeed our wealth. Hope everything goes well with Mr S?s procedure.
Miserable morning here. Visitors left early so quiet house again. Now need to catch up on the laundry.

Morning!
starty, I have to get a colonoscopy every few years as my mams polyps were so bad they whipped out most of her bowel. That was over 25 years ago and she's as healthy as a flea now. Touch wood. It mostly grew back.
Hope all goes OK for Mr S. The week will fly by.. xx
Going for a run then off to galway to see my new nephew.
Sons ex girlfriend stayed over (does he think I'm thick, ex my arse).Last edited by IamMary; July 8, 2023, 01:52 AM.AF - July 19th 2015 :happy2:

They all think we came down in the last shower Mary. Hope you enjoyed your run and safe travels to Galway.
Had lovely walk this morning. Think I might go over to Decathlon today. Hubby bought me a kayak so need to get some gear. Waves to everyone.

Re: Happy Army July
Sorry I have been quiet but I needed a bit of recovery time. I was on a run a few weeks ago. A car with several young guys drove by and fired a paintball at me. It hit my face very close to my eye. In fact it caused me vision problems that have fortunately cleared. When it occurred, I actually thought I was shot. They do pack some considerable power.
The good new is that a cyclist behind me was using a Go Pro and his camera caught the vehicle and its license plate. I did file a full police report. I meet with the kids parents tonight and that will determine my decision to press charges or not. I will let you know. I am doing fine and just returned from a long run.
P.S. Thinking of you, Molly xoxiLast edited by techie; July 8, 2023, 11:51 AM.Outside of a dog a book is mans best friend. Inside of a dog its too dark to read

Re: Happy Army July
Hi folks. I decided not to press charges. The kid was truly remorseful and the mom was a wonderful woman. The father however, was a total asshole. He kept trying to impress me with how important he is. If possible, I would certainly have pressed charges on him. For me it was more a scare than anything else. I told them if I was on my bike and that happened I could have been seriously injured. I think I got my messages across. Have a wonderful rest of you day afternoon or evening. Thinking of you, Molly. Blessings xOutside of a dog a book is mans best friend. Inside of a dog its too dark to read

So glad you are alright Techie, that is the main thing and hopefully the kid learned a lesson from the incident. Good example of how a decent human being behaves, especially if the Dad is an a!!hole.
Quiet, peaceful day here but that is ok with me. Has been a busy few weeks. Have a good week all.

Re: Happy Army July
Morning,
Couldn't find Mikey the Dog..............found him in the back bedroom behind the bed-settee. Being a street dog in Romania he can get in the tiniest of places. Most spoiled dog in the Universe.
His English isn't good so there's a bit of a language problem
We're back to Yorkshire in October..............same cottage and no internet and no neighbours apart from cows and sheep. There's three Highland cows have taken a fancy to Mr. JC .........should I be worried?
My mother in Law is making a right fuss and moaning that no one ever visits. Poor Mr. JC had to show her the sign in book and told her she'd pick the place herself.............his sister has disappeared to Cornwall for a month and I don't blame her.It could be worse, I could be filing.
