Nothing new to report here either. Mary has gone to Galway to see her new nephew. Hope poor Molly is ok.

Your MIL is a great age JC. Poor Mr JC, they can be very demanding.

Work is crazy. Really switching off. Have to work full time next week as girl I job share with is off. Not looking forward to it.

Had a great weekend in galway. New fella is just be best baby ever!
I was wrecked though and did all the driving up and back. I hate driving!
Sil is a psychotherapist. Within 2 mins, broke me down in the car outside a shopping centre (1st time i properly let go since the diagnosis). 1 hour later, I felt so much better. Everyone should get counselling! I think I will get a few more sessions.

I hope mollys OK and has had lots of good crys.

No not in his room or together. She stays in the study that has a couch bed. It's a controversial area though.. he's only 19, but in a few years I may have to rethink the rules..

Thought I would drop by and see how everyone is doing.

It has been an eventful few years with kids. Happy to report continued sobriety and off the smokes 8 years…..feels great to not have a monkey on my back any more.

Writing a couple of books (slowly) and enjoying financial stability……it’s weird not to be in debt

Not a lot going on. Got to get ready for the doctor and the practice nurse tomorrow............I look like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards. Such fun.

[MENTION=22411]IamMary[/MENTION]...Alfie has started walking and he's adorable......a bit wabbly......Mr and Mrs Son an Heir are busy putting locks on everything and gates on the stairs.
My sister in Law had her house ready to take MIL in and she refused............she would have the front of her house (its huge) and she turned it down. Her and Mr. JC can't do anything right. Mr JC just rolls his eyes but SIL goes into panic mode.............is it a daughter thing?

You lucky thing Mary, looks like our summer is over. You need the break and glad you got to vent. A friend of mine, who?s husband had cancer used our walks to vent.

One is about domestic violence and it?s political implications and the other is about the nurture versus nature discussion using my lived experience.

Back from the doctors...............I'm fine..............he was charming and I'm at that age that doctors look about 12 years old. :egad: All good even my blood pressure.

I grieved all my dogs...............and sometimes want to punch people who say 'It was only a dog'

Found God eh? Tell us all the gory detail of that. Apparently WE are ALL God .....
An Irish lady wrote a book way back titled "Who is God".... YOU are. Interesting but hard to digest on the first reading - so it's shelved a while now ...

Hi Satz,

The god thing has been a slow realisation of all the spiritual events that have occurred in my life that cannot be denied as the work of spiritual beings??dead people. Then I read ?Conversations with God? and found a being that I can relate to.
Formal religion(s) still makes my stomach churn ?.. I have never wanted or needed to be part of a gang.

My sobriety has been on and off since I left here but was never life destroying. I am just happier sober.

And yes, I was in relationship with an Irish man who was very violent?.it was during one of his attacks that a spirit saved my life. I am writing about that time, although I may leave out the spiritual stuff?..it is the social and legal side I want to share.
