Glad was on chat tonight around 9PM I think. 'yestohealth' was there. Check with her also. Glad is beginning her healing. ..Very very nice chat. I forget if she is registered or not. If so I'm sure she would be open to notes .. She loves this ...I think she will be back...ask me questions tommorrow if you like..

What a nice thread. Like Bear, I pop in from time-to-time now and still find such caring and helpful people as I did back in January ... a few of the same names, but many new ones. This is a special place with a special meaning for me.

I was a heavy drinker with a serious drinking problem. I found this site, did this program and it changed so many things for me. I try to come back and visit and reply to a few people with the hope that I can offer a few words of encouragement like some kind and supportive people once did for me when I needed it. It really worked!!

I remember when I first came on this site & some of your posts. We are most likely from same gen...that has always been one of my favorite quotes -- let alone favorite group..

Hi,im a dropper in and outer.I read the posts almost every day but only comment occassionally.I cant believe i found all of you. I actually feel like im close to all you 'regulars'.I cant believe that there are others from all over the world that feel EXACTLY like i do.Sometimes i feel like im imposing,but you all make such sense to me,i feel like you know me. hope im not sounding like a crazy stalker,im just amazed that i have more in common with complete stangers than any of my friends.Thankyou for all the inspiration i read here.It DEFINATELY keeps me sober because i feel like i let all of you down as much as myself if i drink.I know this must sound like a wierd post,because noone knows me,but im honestly not a wierdo.Just someone whos found and seen the light.BIG THANX :h

We are ALL strange in our own way!
I do feel like all of you are my friends because we can share the best and worst and not be judged here. I don't have anyone in my life except my God that I can do that with.

I haven't been on that long, but I have been on a lot during the past week as a "bond" with the program, and believe me, I've been bonding, big time. Still, I worry, too, even though I've only been here a week, but I worry when someone shares something really difficult and then disappears. There are stories that really make you want to reach out and there are people who are saying things here that they can't say to anyone face to face. I was listening to something on NPR this morning about an interview conducted in the evening, and I realized that only two weeks ago, I thought I could never make plans to do anything at night where I would have to think. I always thought I was in a category of "gimps."
