    Sunrise at Stonehenge

    Hi Happy solsctice to all . Just got back from watching the sun come up at Stonehenge. 13000 people , druids and rain!! but a brilliant atmoshpere,did anyone else watch the sun come up today?

    No I didn't see it come up today but it IS up and hot as heck in southern USA!

        That is too cool...too bad it was raining.
        Was there some kind of ceremony or did you all just watch it come up and then leave?
        Do you go there for the shortest day too?
        I think I'm a bit jealous....

          Yes there is a druid ceromany at dawn. The stones open (as in access right up to touch them)10pm the night before, there is acoustic music, drummers,Hari Kristnas, old people , young people , hippies , all are welcome. You can get food and drink and some party all night until dawn. The druids celebrate the shortest day but thats a bit to cold for most!And best off all is free.
