Hi everyone I registered on this site 3/02/07 and on 3/18 I started taking naltrexone. Since then I havent had a drink or have I smoked a cigie. I've lost 25 lbs an my blood pressure is back to normal. I cant say I will never drink again but I dont want to anymore . I am in a study Uof Penna in Philly is running it. I recieved counseling every week at first now they call me every two weeks to see if Im still taking the naltrexone and not drinking. This is the best birthday in so many years my kids think its great I'm not drinking an we have become so much closer. My friends think I'm nuts I told them I quit because of my blood pressure. Most of them didnt know how much of a drinker I was. Well I know now its possible to live an not drink its been pretty easy an I have been around people drinking. The naltrexone is the difference. I cant explaine why it works but it does and I'm glad I found it.
