I've done this myself and seen many people get completely clean in one session.
Don't be put off by the "woo woo" factor, stay with the science.
The best and cheapest provider is No. of Puerto Vallarta: ibeginagain.org
It is legal almost everywhere but the USA.
It is also amazingly helpful w/ bipolar, schiz., sexual abuse victims, trauma
recovery of any kind. In Thailand they are stating definitively that it cures bipolar and schiz. I have seen this happen twice with my own eyes; friends who were VERY troubled and addicted and came back with a completely different take on life, and who have refused to use any drug again. PM me or inquire here. I just feel this needs to be known about.

You have to be careful with this stuff, it can be dangerous. That is why it is banned in the U.S.

sexual abuse, trauma, and various chemical addictions are so vastly different in nature that I'm sorry but I'm thinking snake oil here....
at any rate I'm open minded so I'll look into it for sure.

        Nancy, why is it dangerous?

I've never heard of it and I'm wondering why.
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life... And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

          danger?

Well, it's dangerous as I remember because it can cause heart problems and has resulted in some deaths. Also, imagine there are hallucinations involved. It's definitely not for the weak.

But please look this up. Also, unlicensed people are giving the treatment, which probably is more of a concern. So imagine, there are health risks anyway, combined with unlicensed people giving the treatment.

Why haven't you heard of it? It has gotten a fair amount of press for treatment of heroin addiction and in leftist circles there is support for that. Look in the British press for articles. The dangers are thought to outweigh the benefits in conventional medicine, but it is allowed on a sideline basis in some countries.

If you are a diehard heroin addict, to me it does seem worth checking out despite the risks.

I haven't heard much about it for alcoholism. It seems extreme for alcoholism. I think the link above is just to generate sales.

Please be careful about providers of ibogaine.

Personally, I think that the use of any drug, deserves close investigation. If one chooses to use a prescription drug, use a physician to obtain the drug. Biochemistry is extremely complicated and their are always risks involved.

              I agree.

The SVP program is $4500 plus airfare to Thailand and appears to be geared towards prescription drug dependence.

Legality in the U.S. ......the pharma giants may not be able to patent it and make $$$$.

                Exactly. It has been

deliberately squelched here, and if you read/watch the videos there will be full explanations.
The deaths that have happened have all involved people on some type of speed at the time, who lied to the providers. No one on any drug would be given Ibogaine.
There are no hallucinations. When you open your eyes, it all stops. It simply takes you deep into your subconscious. You are in control every minute of what you want to explore. You are able to pinpoint the traumas that have let to your addiction/emotional problems. There is a lot of crying, and then a deep sense of forgiveness and love. It is like being under hypnosis.
The plant itself does lower the blood pressure, which puts you in the relaxation state.
Have you ever woken up from an extremely intense and vivid dream? That's how it is, only you control the dream.
I went to Mexico, the people there have been doing this for decades, they are all from Oregon, they have doctors there at the site...I paid 2800$ and it was the best money I ever spent.

                  Actually, Determinator, I would argue

that all those are the exact same thing: trauma. That's what Ibogaine addresses.

But also, the latest studies out of Florida (google Deborah Mash) suggest that it goes to the part of the frontal lobe that controls addictive behavior, and sort of wipes it clean. (Including obsessing about past traumas). They've had success w/ OCD, ADHD, and all the before mentioned stuff.

And for that matter- what's so great about prescription drugs and doctors?
Far more people have died on that crap then on plants.

I'm sounding like an evangelist here at this point, but I think it's a very fascinating substance that truly merits investigation by many folks here who it could help greatly.

I do not have an opinion as I know little about it. Would you care to share your experience?
I am not sure about many prescription drugs. If it cannot be patented the drug companies are not interested. My post was not meant to be dismissive.

Oh, I didn't take it as such

The experience was very dense and complicated...it took me through all the years of my life, starting from the crib, with extremely vivid imagery...I could even smell things, like my mom's apron, and how it felt to sit on my dad's lap...I re-visited many youthful mistakes, bad relationships and decisions, and at the end of it, you feel relief and gratitude. (My story is 5 ages long, to give you an example of the detail of it). You don't feel like beating yourself up any more. You could try to get in Deborah Mash's study...she's in Miami and does the studies in the Bahamas, I heard.

TheUS is ran by corporations. Why do you think they would want to put this miracle cure out there? People would be curred of all their addictions and maybe a few illness and would no longer be on pain meds from pharmeceutical companies, they wouldnt like sugar so the sugar product companies would be out of business, caffiene nicotine, adderal ,alcohal, you name it this drug threatens Corporate America. Helllo they legalize cigarettes and alcohal who is more criminal than american corporations? They have more money that us. Wake up people. A few people die in a decade from bogaine but one dies every 15 minutes from alcohal.

I think 60 Minutes or 20/20 did a segment on it a couple of years ago. Might be worth going to youtube and doing a search.

Good luck to all on this journey.

Not the 60 Min. segment, but another news segment. Very, very interesting.

Sounds very similar to what PbarE reported in the meds section from his own personal experience. (of course his experience is recent, so not 4 years clean like the guy in the youtube video reports...)

I do believe that natural (read: cannot be patented) treatments are squelched in the US. Just follow what is going on with bioidentical hormones and natural thyroid (desicated porcine) in the US. (two things someone will have to pry out of my cold dead hands someday - they have been that life changing for me and many others)
