Indigestion from Supps?
I got the starter pack a few weeks ago and have been taking most of them. I have in the same time developed a bit of indigestion in the form of feeling like things are repeating and feeling a bit of pressure in my throat. This may all be coincidental but I was wondering if anyone else experienced this from any of the supps?

Indigestion from Supps?
Vits in general can make me feel a little burpy. The updated supp document (pdf) mentioned that the magnesium can cause some gastric problems -- bloating, diarrhea; I have had a few stomach rumblies from time to time. It suggests that you can try taking it with dinner rather than lunch, or not take it at all, if it's a problem.

Indigestion from Supps?
Thanks CS. The funny thing is that my stomach is not upset. I used to have that issue if I took vitamins w/o food. It's just the indigestion thing. And as I said, it could have nothing to do with the supps. I guess I'll experiment with leaving certain things out and see if it does any good. Tx again!

Indigestion from Supps?
Ducky, are you drinking enough water with them? I read before that many people have problems with meds, vits, supps, etc., simply because they take enough water just to get them down and that's it. Apparently, you should drink a least a glass (8 ounces) after they are swallowed. Especially, if you take a lot at one time. If you don't take enough water they sit like a lump and won't breakdown and metabolize properly.
I hope that helps you.

Indigestion from Supps?
Thankful is right on. Water and lots of it. I split mine in half. Take half the supps with a bunch of water and then take the shower and take the rest with the smoothie after shower. Actually (this is gross) I have to brush my teeth first or I may puke. Looks like dollar bills in the toilet :H Because it is.sigpic

Indigestion from Supps?
I don't feel sick as long as I have eaten breakfast before. It's just that my gag reflex gets involved so sometimes I swallow it and it doesn't make it all the way down, then I cough it back up! Gross I know. I can relate to your hubby's story though. When I was much younger I had what I thought was a pregnancy scare. What was really happening was that I took my vitamin with juice and hopped in the car, then grabbed breakfast on the way to work. By the time I was halfway there I was really sick. I called my doc and he asked if I was taking the vitamin w/o food. Duh....

I'm sort of OK with it with water and a smoothie but if toothpaste gets too far back on my tongue, look out. Hubby is same way. Once he was brushing teeth and was gagging and a visitor looks at me and says "Do ya'll have a dog?" :H She thought it was barking! :Hsigpic
