    Essential Oils

Rip, I have no idea why I am so bloody tired this time around. Over 2 months AF/ciggie free. Started all 'horrah, yippee, go-go' but the last couple of weeks I am so TIRED. Caffeine can't even keep me awake!

Were you tired when you had all of that sobriety time under your belt?? I had 5+months last year consecutively AF and I don't remember being this tired. WTF? No, it is not depression or anything as I had my blood work done. My eyelids feel constantly heavy.

Yeah, pass the oil!! This gal needs some zip here.

headless: I never knew that lavender can treat pain.

Funny, I was just thinking about essential oils, specifically jasmine. I was looking into Oolong tea to increase GABA and found a study on the aromas in the tea in relation to GABA production. Apparently, the jasmine aroma does, in fact, affect GABA levels. If I can find the study again, I'll post a link.

                ESSENTIAL OILS

Before I began my little drink binge, I studied and qualified as an Aromatherapist. There is no oil to help with addiction. As it is a holistic form of treatment addictions are viewed as an imbalance within the mind, body and spirit. I am sober for now and may just get back to where I was with the oils. They are excellent and do help the body. Now FENNEL and JUNIPER mixed 2 drops fennel, 2 drops juniper and lavender (as it is the angel of healing) to 10 ml, is amazing for detoxification of the liver. However, it is quite a powerful oil and should only be used twice a year. The reason for this is that it has a powerful effect on the body and starts the process of dejunking the system. Again, you must always drink the recommended two litres of water after treatment and eat a very light, as natural as possible, meal. Another really good oil is Frankincense and Myrhh, particularly at this time and also as the wise men obviously knew their stuff. Frankincense, is used in Catholic Churches as it promotes a meditative state and calms the user down, now Myrrh is for the lungs and breathing and as our lungs are a fundamental part of the overall machine combine the two (with a little lavender of course) and you can just relax. A treatment that can help with addiction and cravings is Acupuncture and it can also aid the liver.

                  Essential Oils

Patchouli and Golden Champ is a blend that I make and sell under the name PEACEFUL SPIRIT...I myself have used it since the late 60's.
I find fragrance to be a huge emotional trigger.Sometimes GOOD and sometimes not so good.
I have tried many essential oils and find NONE to do what they say.
There are smells that relax me and smells that activate me but it doesn't seem to follow their rules...it is more about Memories to me.

                    Dear One2many

I usually use Amphora Aromatics Ltd which is UK based website is amphora-aromatics.com, however as you live in Ireland the land of the leprachaun and white pudding. I have researched for you and you could try a company called Tir Na Nog Aromatherapy and their website is email account mapi exchange microsoft at irishoils.com. I find that generally you get them so much cheaper as these tend to be wholesalers. The book we used when we studied was one by a lady called Julia Lawless. Then you just go on and use your own findings once you get qualified. Some oils are dangerous and it is best to find those out first and then just go with it. It really is a good course and the benefits of the course are you get massaged every week with essential oils!!!! Oh my god, how bloody amazing. So you could go to your local college and find out. Sheer heaven. I was fine when I was getting massaged every week, then went mental. Could there be something in this??:H:H

Frontier Herbs is a good wholesaler for those of you in the US. I started my "Herbal Remedies business "with them, way back in the 80's when they were operating out of a barn. Now they are one of the biggest Herb business in the US. They have organic oils as well.

Evie Lou it is comforting to know that I am not the only Holistic Therapist who ended up drinking too much liquor. I do often wonder if it was to do with 'energies' as I worked a lot with dependent people, indeed did a case study on a chronic alcoholic/depressive person who I know and felt crap afterwards. Also worked a lot with the dying and they were relaxed when I left the room, but I was full of anxiety. Maybe I did not protect myself enough!!!!! However, I am now back on track and not going to underestimate the power of the old temptation, but maybe go back towards the path I strayed from and absolutely, believe and am passionate about. I have always used essential oils on all my animals from horses to squirrels and had good results. Am thinking of expanding to animal healing. :h

Dear Middiva, Animals are so amazingly receptive to all forms of vibrational healing. They don't have to get passed the intellect and are so grateful to receive the energies that will bring them back into balance.
How wonderful you would be at that kind of work.I was a dog show groomer/trainer in my younger days.I raised my kids on a Morgan horse farm and started my Herbal Remedies business because of my interest in homemade comfrey salves that I found worked wonders on horses, dogs, cats etc. Many Vets. and owners alike would ask me to use my abilities to help figure out animal health concerns.Animals are very open to communicating with us thru pictures that they think at you.I am sure this will be part of your gifts as well.
As for having my practice causing me to take on Drinking issues, I am sure that gathering negative energies from clients is an on going issue.I think that I was probably born with the (soul contract) that would lead me to drink, regardless what kind of work that I did.You have a real point though about that it wasn't easier because of the work i do.
I see it sorta as which come first (the chicken or the egg)?

                                Essential Oils

I like you. You are a wise bunny!!!! I have put an animal to sleep with essential oils, just pure lavender. She had cancer and my neighbour called me to help take the dog to the vet. Anyway, I calmed the dog down and she drank water. We got her to the vet and she died 'peacefully' in my arms. The vet checked her heart and confirmed this. She was dying, she just needed to relax to go to the next realm. That is my greatest achievement. It was not distressing for the animal, nor the owner. I rescued two amazing horses and one had arthritis and I used to put comfrey oil (knitbone) on her legs and she did really well. The other one had severe anxiety, due to his previous bad treatment, he responded well to oils. I used to make tonic, because certain oils, as you know can be digested. I put them in the 'red wine'. Being my weakness, i drank the entire bottle. I worked on my kids when I was studying and my youngest who had 'inflammation of the brain', when he was 7 bypassed phsiotherapy and made a speedy recovery. I used lemon oil. My other son, will be getting a massage very shortly as he has anxiety, but children are also very receptive and I figure it is because they have not had all the junk polluting their body. Adults take longer as they tend to be more sceptical and filled with junk.

ANYWAY IAD. ARE YOU DISMISSING THE POWER OF THE OILS????:H:H Actually, vaseline is the best moisturizer on the market as it continues to work the day after, unlike all these expensive creams. Now if you put a little frankincense and patchouli oil in the vaseline, you will have the best 'anti-wrinkle and skin rejuvination' product you can get. We did that in a science class when I studied beauty therapy. HAVE A NICE DAY Y'ALL:h SO YOU ARE RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

also just an aside:- it is worth noting that VALIUM (synthetic) is derived from the plant VALERIAN which can be purchased as an essential oil and is very calming and helps with anxiety. So it makes a useful tool in these stressful times. Plus, it is not addictive and won't mess up your liver unlike most medicines. Unless obviously you neutralize with milk thistle and in Germany when they give you any synthetic medicine, they tend to prescribe milk thistle to help with liver detoxification. Also, correct me if I am wrong, but aspirin is derived from willow bark. So nature does provide most blueprints for all that is on the market. ALSO, BEFORE I BLOW UP!!! Interesting to know that hospitals in France (who are pioneers in essential oils) use rosemary and juniper through the air conditioning system to help with airbourne germs. Fascinating really. I shall go and walk my dogs and shut up.
