I have been learning this technique using a book and the help of a therapist-- it is very easy, takes just a little concentration and practice. It can be used anywhere to relax you immediately (when you feel a need for a drink, for example). It has surprising results-- sometimes similar to taking a drink when you are stressed.
For me, it is working extremely well. I have never experienced this kind of PHYSICAL result from something non-alcoholic or non-narcotic. It is a mix of the mental and the physical.
