    Another Miracle Food

    RAW CHOCOLATE BEANS!

I bought mine @ Whole Foods in the Raw Section but you can buy online and the following is the best description I found on the benefits of these raw beans. The Inca soliders survived on just 4 of these beans a day they are so packed full of health.

Cacao Nibs - Bulk 2.5-pound bag, Sunfood Nutrition (raw, certified organic)

yeh, I heard about that from a friend visiting from the U.S. recently. He wanted to know if he could get a hold of some here in this forsaken northern hinterland, and I just said "Huh?"

I shall see about getting some supplies in from my private smuggler.

Good to know that they are so healthful. I tasted one at the rare fruit and nut park in Homestead Fl. the year Andrew hit.I doubt the Coco tree is still standing.
I was surprised how UNLIKE chocolate they taste.

PLEASE tell me it's not true! I was just about to order that 2.5lb bag! The website says they are delicious and hints that they do taste like chocolate... and if they DON'T, what DO they taste like?

I have the beans, not the nibs which are smaller pieces like chocolate chips. The beans are very very very crunchy and bitter, more bitter than the darkest chocolate you have ever had because it has no sugar and has not been processed. I have no desire to eat more than 3 beans @ a time, unlike regular chocolate.

What do the cacao beans do for you? besides cure breast cancer. No wait, that was the Eskimo tea...

Are they like the chocolate covered espresso beans?

Actually, it was a Canadian woman who got the secret ingredients for the tea from native Indians and made it and cured tons of people of Cancer. (I think Essiac is the woman's name spelled backwards). You can google it if you want to know more.

I have some left over from when my father had cancer. I don't think it worked for him.

It was quite complicated to prepare, with several steps. And I don't recall him saying it tasted good.
