My friend who I trust for a whole long list of reasons - way more than most MD's when it comes to knowledge of thyroid issues - says that she would rather jump off a bridge than ingest supplements containing soy isoflavones. (this is for people with thyroid issues who are female) Actually, that's not exactly how she said it but I toned it down a bit.
The only soy I have ingested knowingly since finding out it's a problem is occassional soy sauce as fermented soy is typically an exception. I just don't want to take any chances - you saw the before and after pictures and the weight issues were only part of the problem. I wouldn't trade away the changes on the inside either. So I take NO chances knowingly with soy.
The Kudzu bottles really should be labeled as containing soy isoflavones and I hope RJ will consider that.
