Hi DeeBee, and good for you! It sounds like you're off to a good start. I'm starting my "taper" today, along with you. Giving up two cups of coffee/day while giving up sugar all at one time was too much for me.
-This week, I'll go from two cups of coffee/day down to one.
-Next week, I'll either eliminate the other morning coffee or the bedtime cocoa.
-The following week, no coffee or cocoa at all.
That said, I'm trying to follow the rest of the diet otherwise.
BTW, my avatar glasses are a homage to you, our fearless leader and a reminder to myself about the SF plunge. Do you think they fit?
