I too hate uncertanty when it revolves my job -- causes all sorts of anxiety!!
Good for you for reaching for a slice of yummy carrot cake instead of AL -- I think that deserves a huge WELL DONE!! I love carrot cake with a cream cheese icing on top and lots of walnuts. Walnust are one of the 14 superfoods so your cake did have lots of goodness in it:-)
Lil, I am in two minds about the grains.
I believe that it is essential to our diet to have WHOLE GRAINS and eliminate refined grains.
I have a list of whole-grains in one of my books which I'll dig up and post for you as soon as I get a chance.
I woke up this morning with a vague headache which I haven't been able to shake so I think lots of water with lemon are in order for me today. We went to the farmers market this morning and stocked up with lots of lovely fresh veg and farm cream so I'm all set for next weeks meals.
Lil, one other thing you must experiment with is herbs -- they add so much flavour to food that often you don't need the extra spices. It's even better if you grow you own, and so much more rewarding.
