    Coffee your liver

It's a relief to know that one of my vices isn't hell on the liver. I used to think, how can anything this good be good for you?

      Coffee your liver

      Thanks for the info!

I just joined this community a few moments ago, and what a cool thing to read! The only thing I love more than red wine is really good coffee, so I am super happy I will not have to give it up.
Thank you for the great information, really. The verdict on coffee has changed so many times over the last 35 years. I had a college health science professor (late '70s) who said drink lots. (He also said to do those kegels for better sex & I have to say that was good advice, so I have tended to believe him on the coffee.)
Later, I heard it wasn't really very good for you, so I did give it up for my pregnancies and, boy, was that hard to do. Giving up alcohol for the duration of the pregnancies was nothing compared to giving up coffee.
I wasn't sure if continuing to drink coffee though this 30 days I'm about to go through would negate the effects of the calming herbs, but I doubt I could give it up at this point. So, thanks for the good news!

What good news to read as I suck down my AM brew!!! Well, it would still be good news even if I happened across this wonderful info while sucking down my PM brew!!! Coffee Modder???? NON!!!!

        We need a coffee smilie.

:cupajoe: Oh wait! We HAVE a coffee smilie! I need to use that one more often!

My Dad told me that he read something recently that coffee helps prevent Alzheimers. And that was more than a couple cups a day. So that is my justification for NO MODDING!! :soapbox2: in the coffee department!

i heard that the more one drinks the better, not moderate consumption as far as protection from alcoholic liver disease goes.

I thought I heard that decaf has the same good effect on the liver as the real stuff (not that I care... I am a purist).

                Coffee your liver

Very good news. I am drinking a blend of Sumatran and Javanese at the minute (I put the two different beans in a jar and shake them to mix!), its really really dark, so the afternoon one I have to have with a touch of hot water.

My coffee consumption always increases when I'm alcohol free, but I shall drink the black stuff with no guilt - Yay!
