    Monsanto rant

I'm on this bandwagon too. Healthy food is a passion of mine and it makes me F#%*ing nuts at what's going on in this country with our food. We're being poisoned for the almighty dollar. I advocate online every chance I get. This Administration has been such an enormous disappointment. What a liar and farce Obama was -- and to think I worked on his campaign. So depressing -- we are owned by corporations and that's the bottom line no matter who is in office.

Here is a link to an organization that does some e-mail campaigns. I write my Senators and Representatives virtually daily about health or environmental issues (closely linked obviously).

Good for you KG. I get links for petitions all the time. Back around '95/'96 Canadians did manage to keep BGH out of our dairy industry via petitions. So much to fight. Keep trying though!

Horrible what we have done to ourselves and the food chain. Very sad.

After they make us ill our friend Big Pharma can come in and save the day!

my new hero attorney Jonathan Emord. speech at the 2011 Health Freedom Expo.
Emord has successfully sued the FDA 11 times!

the FDA is a horrific tyrannical agency that is not accountable to anyone. We must fight for food and health freedom....if it's not too late. if this administrations new healthcare law successfully goes into effect in 2014 as it's slated to do, then it's over. case closed and we will have lost. The bill has sweeping control over supplementation, real food and a multitude of other things that have little to do with healthcare and everything to do with our Congresses relationship with big agra and big pharma.

So the new healthcare act would incorporate stuff like McCain's inane ideas about controlling natural substances now readily available? Seriously? So is that what the administration is giving up to get healthcare passed?

I agree the FDA is corrupt, one example, the history of antidepressants and how the rise of these coincided with the removal of tryptophan from consumer access except through RX which means paying a doctor and then paying RX monthly. And on the other hand approving barely tested drugs like FenPhen and that pain med that caused heart attacks....

Feeding big pharma and corporate America, while we somehow grow obese and sick, our cells are starving for what used to be easy to come by - unpoisoned foods.

Bruunhilde you're right on all counts, we have the best congress money can buy. and a LOT of that money is coming from big Agra.

on my way back to NV (where it's illegal to buy or sell raw milk) I'm going to stop and buy some at the heath shop up in Truckee CA where they actually have it. the FDA will probably follow me home and kick my door down. I'm only sort of joking. yeeesh. Our founders were right about "a Republic, IF you can keep it".

                      Monsanto rant

Unknown - Liam Neeson's last movie - SPOILER ALERT

I just shouted out at the end of this movie, thinking, MONSANTO RANT THREAD! If you haven't seen it, because it has a double meaning for us here on this thread. The movie was about a super secret plan by the "seed companies" to kill the Middle Eastern prince sponsoring a World Hunger drive to distribute a newly created seed that would grow anywhere, under any conditions, and be distributed free of charge, and self seed. When the plot failed and the professor who developed the seed and the prince were saved, the seed was announced and stock plummeted for "the seed companies" which of course is really just Monsanto. I cheered!

First, Liam Neeson the actor died of addiction/overdose right after finishing this film. He was a great actor, and I'm sad. I'm so sad he died of an overdose. One of the great lines in the movie by his costar was "None of that matters now. What matters is what you do NOW." He had just discovered he had been a paid assassin (amnesia due to an accident en route to the killing). THAT resonated with me greatly. I'm not a killer, and even if I was, ITS TRUE. What matters is now and the future, the past does not have to have a grip on me and keep me from being who I should be. If I'm still alive, there is STILL TIME.

Second, today is AF 4 for me. I am an AL Addict. I don't want to die of an overdose. Today I was under the weather, so I went to the farmers market (it's Saturday!) and the dog park then sat around all day on the computer and reading. I'm reading You Can Heal Your Life from 1984 by Louise Haye. She said to look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself "I approve of myself" "I love myself" "My life is full of love and all the things I could dream of" "I am worth of all of the things I have dreamt of" and watch how you react. To repeat and repeat over days and days until you start to feel a change. And that you should do all the usual affirmations and all that stuff - many books say this - all the time. But today, I looked in the mirror AF 4, and I told myself "I am healing" "I am deserving" "I am gaining happiness" "I am distancing myself from the Beast" "I AM DOING THIS" and I believed me.

I think today, I feel for the first time, that I can do this. When I came to MWO, and even last week, I felt lost. Less lost than six months ago, but still not knowing and not wanting to know, if I would fail or succeed. Right now I feel that I can reach balance, that there is a light and the tunnel is the healing part just as much as the AF part. I'm sure this is no news to you all, but it is to me.

I won't make any promises about being perfectly AF, but I have started to take a turn, and I DO DESERVE A BETTER LIFE.

                      And I believe that.

Love to all, hope to all. Thank you for you all, I love you and I am beginning to truly understand what you do for me. And what we share here.

Now going to copy this to my thread. (Originally posted under Monsanto Rant in Holistic)

                              Monsanto rant

wow, I feel so fortunate to be among like minds. Everything you are saying about Monsanto and the poisoning of our food, I have a few friends with whom I talk about this, but a lot of others just think we're conspiracy theorists. Open your eyes, Others. There IS a conspiracy and it's your quality of life (if not your very existence) that's on the line.

                              Anybody see these movies/documentaries:

                              King Corn
                              The Corporation
                              Sicko

I was watching Sicko and I could DIRECTLY and PERSONALLY relate to a lot of what was shown in that movie. When I meet people who think it's a fabrication, I know I've met people fortunate enough to have excellent health and/or excellent health insurance. I'm happy they're doing so well but annoyed at their poor judgment calls (to say the least.)

I know where Truckee is, Determinator, and I am cheering (albeit quiety, so's not to awaken the opposition) for you as you cross the state line. I'm up north a ways from Truckee in northern Northern California (aka Oregon).

I actually was afraid to read this thread because I might get too angry and stressed out, but instead, I'm just glad to know I'm not the only one who sees and knows this stuff. I'm of course not happy about the lies and GMO'ing and poisoning - but I'm not going to let the stress of it make me sick - I have to be careful - I'm trigger-point sensitive to everything, can't do pharmaceuticals, can't eat anything with corn in it at all, can tell you the difference between corn syrup (BLECH!) and sugar just by how it affects my body (neither good, but corn syrup WORSE!!) ("corn sugar," WTF, now THERE's a "campaign" I'd like to torch)

(breathing) and yes I'm sensitive to stress and so I just can't do it. I want health. I buy organic, real organic not fake "sewage" organic

and raw milk - I take supplements - I want the RIGHT to CHOOSE my pathway to health - Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, didn't I hear that somewhere...!!!

(and my congratulations and support to you, Bruunhilde )
