    dosage questions

I just bought the L-Glutamine free form powder. The bottle says to take 1/2 a tablespoon, approximately 2 g, daily between meals. I read the dosage is 5,000 mg (I think?), how do I measure this when the bottle suggests measuring w/a teaspoon?

I took 1 tsp on an empty stomach.

I also picked up Absolute Amino w/Vit C & B-6 and took two.

I am guess the best idea is to just experiment until the cravings subside?

Thanks! I hope this works. Any ideas how long it takes to take effect?

Okay, genius that I am I just thought to google the conversion and it is 2 g equals 2,000 mg.
Now I feel like a jerk.
And I think the dosage is between 5,000- 10,000 mg.
Now it doesn't seem like so much actually.

      Hey 1967,

A little less than a teaspoon is about 3,000 mg. I take it 3 times a day! I am sending you a PM.

I don't notice it helps cravings, at least not dramatically. I have just read so much about how good it is for healing your body -- and alcoholics need a lot of healing-- and it helps you absorb nutrients better (something alcoholics need a lot of help with, too). Many people say it helps with cravings, and not just for alcohol, but for sugar, too. Maybe it helps me with cravings subtly, but it's hard to say.
