Meal replacements???? any luck?
To avoid non-nutritious snacking, I keep on hand a home made mix of walnuts, almonds, dried cranberries, and toasted soy nuts. I Also eat All-Bran whole grain crackers, with a glass of milk. Apples are also alwasy on hand, keep well without refrigeration. My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.

Meal replacements???? any luck?
I use a local (I think) one called Replace, in place of breakfast daily, sometimes lunch or supper as well, and to 'catch up', after a few too many liquid meal substitutes. I've also used Ensure, but not long term like Replace. This formula (I often laugh at myself as being like a baby and drinking formula, in favour of real food) offers to help maintain or gain weight, not lose it, but I'm quite skinny, so always favour anything for fairly healthy weight gain, not loss. I have not gained any weight however. The only time I have gained weight in recent years was over a couple of months that I really drank a lot all the time.
One thing about all these, chocolate seems to be the general only palatable flavouring. Anything fruity or vanilla really misses the mark.
