it's very low volume, so I don't find it puts much in the air. since it small/portable you can move it near an open window, or in the garage etc. yes, very simple too.

Lila;1186599 wrote: ozone generator? with a hose? wow! do you have a link for this? i looked on amazon for ozone produce cleaners, they are hundreds of dollars, and weren't rated too highly.
so i am interested what you have, what do you use it for, besides cleaning produce. I had to google this, i don't know a lot about ozone.
There is some interesting reading on the subject of ozone and how it works.
I would explain but its late, and its more fun to find that stuff out on your own anyway.?Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.?

Fun to learn about ozone??? no, it is so confusing! I read that it is very dangerous, then I read it is so beneficial...Science is not my strong point, and I am not sure what to do.
I am afraid to buy lettuce, however...
I almost bought the ozonator Determinator hyperlinked, but I want to know more.
any help from you all much appreciated!
the stuff I learn on MWO, who would have ever thought!

I have noticed and I am sure I am not the only one, the information that is available on ANY health related supplement/product can contradict itself.
VERY dangerous? Hmm...well, let me say this, Ozone will kill anything bad. That includes bacteria, parasites, viruses and it will also make harmful chemicals innert.
Depending on how much ozone is being put out by the machine and the size of the space you are using it in, it could make you feel bad. In the process of making harmful things innert, think about it like a detox effect or a die off reaction. All that stuff the ozone is breaking up gets in the air and can bother you.
My friends who worked for a company that manufactured them, they had one. And what they did for air purification purposes, was use it when they werent going to be in the home. When they came in, they turned it off. Or they used it in targeted rooms.
And obviously thats just for air purification.Determinator could probably give you a few more details than I can with regards to using it to wash veggies etc. But its not like something horrible. Its not like you are going to go running screaming if Ozone mist gets on your skin.
I don't know if that helped or not. Although I know its possible I have never used ozone machines to sanitize my food.?Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.?

ditto that Sebastian.
also note that hotels use quite large/powerfull ozone generators to clean out the cigarette smell from thier rooms.
if it's in a strong enough concentration to cause you any ill effect, the smell will be quite strong. it's not like an odorless deadly gas. generally pretty safe stuff. to be extra safe, ensure you have some airflow in your house when using it. the ozone smell dissipates quite fast too.nosce te ipsum

-To the Cig Smell, we used one in a stairwell that had a space that shared the neighbors stairwell. We didn't smoke, they did. And it did a great job of getting rid of the scent.
Our friends who had one at their house, and had run it for a long time, maybe its just my imagination we felt great while we were there and it was running. And that was like 10+ people in a decent size living room and after a little while, the scent was unnoticeable. The scent smells like VERY feint bleach smell, emphasis on the "very feint".
Everyone seemed to have extra energy. I mean our group of friends were really not late nighters but we hung out over there (a bunch of 30ish age group) much later than we would normally,we all had a great time, felt great and left feeling really good.
^So thats the upside to it.
Once however I took it a bit too far. I had the ozone machine running behind a fan that blew into my face. I closed the door to my bedroom, went to take a nap and an hour later I had a KILLER headache. It was gone the next day and I never tried that stunt again.
Id love to have the body bag and specialized ozone machine to fill it up. I had another set of friends in So Cal that were my parents age (50s at the time) and they would hop in the jacuzzi, get all loosened up and then get into the ozone bag for 20 mins. They swore by it. Said they would do that and then go play tennis and had much more endurance. Even their friends that played tennis with them said they noticed how much more energy they had.
PS- I dont sell them :P?Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.?

Another interesting discussion guys. About a month ago a customer brought in a product he makes. Guess what? Ozonated virgin olive oil used as a heal all salve. It worked a 3 day miracle on my dog that was just starting another mange outbreak. It does have an odd smell. Reminds me of the OR in a hospital.
Also, a couple of weeks ago, a different customer mentioned he had one of these machines and we talked about the possibility of offering treatments in the infrared booth. I've never used one myself but am interested to try.Psalms 119:45

Id love to get one. So many cool things you can do with it.
-Ozone body bag
-Cleans the air
-Olive oil thing you mentioned
-Friend of mine had a water filter that was part UV/Charcoal/Reverse osmosis and to top it off, it ozonated the water. Recomended not to drink it right away as it would taste funny, but give it a little time and that stuff was great.?Everybody is a genius. Ok, dumb question and one of you could probably explain it in layman's terms for me. I actually have an ionizing unit and ozonater unit in the sauna. What is the difference? I've used the ionizer and didn't notice any difference with or without, but thought it was creating fresh air. I also have a hottub(not working for 3 years now ) that has an ozonator on it to reduce chemicals required to sanitize it.Psalms 119:45

Cedars, hard to say without seeing just what you have. I'd recommend googling the subject and also see if ther'es some reviews posted on which units hold up the best. I just got a cheapy one but it's working for my needs.
also (be careful if you do this) I made my own high-volume ozone generator a couple years ago after a rodent died in my car AC unit. ick! for liability reasons I won't post how to do it here, but lets say there's high voltage involved so please be warned if you go that route.
good science fair project!nosce te ipsum

Ozone is like oxygen minus a molecule/proton--something like that. So instead of being 4 molecules/whatever-- it has 3. Because of its physical structure it will bind to everything.
When it comes to water, I've always noticed it having a bit of a "oxygenating" effect.
And in your jacuzzi, it just cleans the water.
Oh and negative ions are good for you. All natural places like the beach, the mountains, the ocean, rivers have naturally higher forms of negative ions. Positive ions-- IE a laudromat dyers--make you feel bad.
Go spend an hour in a laudromat and tell me how you feel :P
Now go walk an hour on the beach through the sand!
^Yeah I know, not very technical. Google is your best bet if you want to research it more thoroughly.
Here ya go, here is a decent link with an animated picture ooooo ahhhhhh! Why Ionizers Don't Work! What's Wrong With Ionizers?

SMG,
Great treatise, do you advocate the whole house method or is a mobile room unit sufficient? I spend most of my hours in a day in my home office, and I'd really like to fix this up. My bedroom always has two windows open so fresh air is moving through with the ceiling fan all the time.
Thoughts and recommendations? Thanks in advance...

Well I tried the ozonator with the sauna door open last night. Yep, you could definitely smell the room being charged. Super cool!
It's kind of like saying what do you need more? Vit C or D. Both. Although they provide some similar benefits the mechanism is different.Psalms 119:45
