    Your mission Beatle, should you...

Will they digest well or just mostly pass through though Bruun?

I believe they absorb. I don't see any undigested fat pass through. I know what undigested fat going through looks like because I used olestra once.

I think freezing them allows them to get further into the digestive system before they come apart. I keep mine in the fridge and seem to be doing fine. I think there is more burping at first because the digestive system is just not really healthy to start with in the vast majority of folks. after a couple months of high quality diet, you'll have very few issues.
I also have been taking a Carlson's cod liver oil that has mint and lemon oil extract in it. it's actually pretty tasty.

I think in all the years (20) that I've been taking fish oil, I've only had that problem once or twice. I freeze for freshness now, but I'm having a problem remembering to take them now that they're not on the night stand.

It may well be, as Determinator suggests, not being very healthy to begin with. But it happens every time, and is a real putter off - fish oil does not taste nice the second time around!

Still, I am getting healthier by the day, so I'll try some tonight, and report back. Hell, I had a vegetarian lasagne for dinner! For someone like me, that's a huge step up!

Hello. I appreciate the information in the Holistic Medicine thread a lot. I just ordered some 5HTP and I seem to recall that someone - could have been my sweet Det saying it needed choline to be absorbed or am I wrong. If it wasn't 5HTP, can anyone tell me which supplement requires choline for absorption.

              Thanks.

I take high-dose calcium when I remember because I was once diagnosed with bone density loss after 5 years of training induced ammenorhea - but also eat yoghurt and cottage cheese on a daily basis. If I'm training hard or feel a cold coming on I use high dose vit c and l-glut.

I simply do not feel the need for all these pills and potions, especially since I've had biochemists and pharmacists confirm a lot of supplements simply aren't absorbed by the body anyway.

Real food, no smoking, reduce alcohol intake and exercise are recommended - and I don't agree with supplimentation in lieu of reducing smoking/drinking. Yes a bit harsh but it feels to me like a form of justification, or even a losing battle. Pointless!
I realize this thread has went past this point, but I have to ask, do you take magnesium with your calcium?

Real food will not get you everything you need. 200 years ago, we would agree. But today, not a chance.

Your advisors sound like clueless allopathic doctors.

                  It might be 5htp

but Lithium Orotate needs choline and folate (or folic acid)

I don't know if that was what you were referring to specifically. Here is a nice site on it.

Found out about it on this site actually. Turns out to be inexpensive, well tolerated, no bad side effects, natural
