The illegalization of raw milk and House Bill HR 1830

Yes it's sad and there are ways around it that my ranch of purchase has been implementing since raw milk got a bad rap locally.

    My political views diverge however.

I never blame the man on top. He's just the figurehead for what TPTB were going to do anyway...regardless of who was elected. It's been well-planned in advance.

Freedom is acquired on the inner spiritual planes and moves to the material. 90 percent of our lives are lived on the spiritual planes. But the 10 percent we see gets all the attention. So HP tells me.

Take what you want and leave the rest.

Chiquita.....I respect your views......... my belief....to the man that causes turbulence in this country , the blame goes with them.. The actions of one , when it effects many, that one should be held accountable to the many. Just my thought......

my observations are that regardless of party affiliation the priorities of politicians in this country has been:

1)Immediately begin campaigning on re election.

2)pass legislation that rewards those special interest groups/unions/mega-corporations that they are beholden to.

and everything else is pretty much just smoke and mirrors.

anyway regarding food freedom it's incumbent upon us to make our voices heard on the issue. From what I can tell the only high-level politician that is willing to fight 'big pharma' and 'big agra' for us is Ron Paul. check him out.

Mercola has a lot of information. I love what he says on raw milk.

I am currently reading The Raw Milk Revolution by David Gumpert. It's not the latest nor local info for me in California, since the Governator required more heating in the "raw" milk distributed. I'd like to know what the real deal is with CA raw milk. Anyone know? Is it possible to buy a cow-share in San Diego? Wish I had the brain to find it today. I don't. I'll look later this week but I DO know you guys are a better resource than Google.

Thanks Dete, was just looking at that last week, and I drilled down and got . All I found were grocery stores (I already get raw milk from grocers) but I was hoping to find a local cowshare type of thing and got lost in all the links, I guess. Maybe CA is too expensive for something like that to exist. And I'm too tired all the time to do the research it seems to take. Not too tired to start the Revolution book but apparently too tired to do much of it. I did find this link which is from the dairy my milk comes from. The 15 Things that Pasteurization Kills

My main questions so far are:

                    1. According to the Raw Revolution book I cited below (what I'm reading), unhomogenized milk fat globules rise to the top. This does not happen with my Organic Pastures raw milk so I wonder. Oh wait, just got my granny glasses and read this is definitely not homogenized so I guess they just scoop the extra large fat globules you'd get from just milked cows and sell as cream. I wonder if you bought a gallon of skim raw milk and added a pint of raw cream if you'd have the real whole milk or just the lowest and highest points of fat content with no middle ground? Me just thinking online, never mind it.

                    2. What I'd really like is to have half a gallon of milk from a single Jersey or Guernsey a few miles from my house, that has all the glory of the cow and I know the cow's. I guess I better relocate.

                    3. Yakult - anyone know about this stuff or make it?

My best regards and thanks to all the moo girls in the world. No wonder the cow is sacred in India.

Also, note about the Fox news link, one of the reasons I posted it was the source. I should share with my dad.

And where in the world did acidophilus milk go? That had to make room for all the soy milk and almond and the ultra pasturized, non of which need refrigeration?

While California persecutes raw milk farmers, France unveils raw milk vending machines for happy, healthy consumers

millions of servings of raw milk are served all over Europe every year as has been the case since recorded history and yet in the 'land of the free' we have to deal with this?

i think a cow would make a nice pet. I'll have to expect the FDA SWAT team to come and kick my doors down if I dare milk it though.

Hi y'all! sorry it's been so long, been getting the notifications for this thread I used the same link you posted, Determinator, at realmilk.com to find a local dairy nearby. Still eating my raw milk-made yogurt, just pulled out a batch two hours ago. Been dealing with lots of food allergies and digestive issues through which the raw milk and raw milk yogurt never fails.

Dr. Mercola at mercola.com recently posted an article about how saturated fats never should have gotten the bad reviews and saturated fats in the form of lard are better vs stuff introduced by marketing boohoos like CRISCO (he says used to be a soap product, blech!)

I find fats to be soothing, healing, and would not do skimmed milk personally. I love the non-homogenization where the cream rises to the top. It does that as the yogurt cooks too but a good stir of it before taking a serving, and it stays blended for a long time.

I had acupuncture today and I think i can actually get some sleep now so I'm going to go. Good to see you again.

                            Hey y'all.
Raw milk been getting kicked in it these past few months in Ca.

Cant always get it. Worry the producer will give up the fight someday. Its so challenging and unfair.

Brnunhilde, my recommendation is we fight for a change in administration. I spose you've all seen the video bites in the news about limiting the size of sodas available to purchase etc etc. look, I'm the biggest horn-blower when it comes to the dangers of sugar and simple carbohydrates but the last thing I want is this or any administration shoving thier health agenda down my throat at the point of a gun. we need a government that treats us like adults and will allow us to feed and medicate ourselves as we see fit.

Chiquita, please share this lecture with friends. if you really want the back story on why we have been fed this lie that saturated and animal fats are bad, get ready for a truth-bomb:

this is a great introduction to those that want to ease themselves into a controlled-carbohydrate diet as well as understand the science behind this nutritional health intervention:
