    Heart Disease

I just want to point out one small detail, fat and cholesterol are not the "devil" they have been made out to be.

I recently read a article, I need to find it now, that showed how heart disease is really the bodies way of creating more cholesterol, where one might need it most. It is a survival mechanism. It is a last ditch effort for the body to raise cholesterol levels. Without it =heart failure.

I dont expect you to take my word for it. I realize the idea "could" sound absurd. Give me a day or 2 and Ill edit the link into my post I think you will find it fascinating.
You're a smart young buck Sebastian. Cholesterol is our friend:goodjob:

Anyone ever hear the thing "Dead Doctors Dont Lie". It documents the health of Doctors and all their sicknesses. Yeah, uhm, why would I listen to someone who is so sick?

I just have to say one thing, ahem "PHYSICIAN CURE THYSELF!"

"If you're a conventional oncologist, you can do no wrong, you're lauded as a hero despite your failures, and you make a lot of money making them.

Meanwhile, alternative practitioners may succeed again and again, and still be considered dangerous quacks. This is a mindset that has absolutely nothing to do with scientific validity, objectivity, or evaluation of data. It really falls into a category more reminiscent of religious fervor."

              Heart Disease

Great article SMac, too bad the guy is in NYC. But I totally get the idea, my roomie from college died of pancreatic cancer and it was a horrible death. She left three little kids, so she hung on months past where she should have - apparently young mothers refuse to let go and leave their kids. Anyways, at the time I gave her stuff I found on the internet that was alternative cancer cures and she'd take it but it didn't help. A holistic approach like this doc in the article would have helped more, I'm sure.

My father died of cancer. And we tried "some" alternative medicines. However, knowing what I know now, if he would of got the same cancer right now-- the chances would be much greater in his favor.

                    Heart Disease

Just read or heard in the news that low sodium or salt in the diet can cause high tryglycerydes (sp). I've had high tryglycerides since I was a teen diagnosed with high blood pressure.

A few years ago in my attempts to self-diagnose with the aid of a couple of docs, I did a ton of research on blood labs and thyroid and heart disease. I've been so low on sodium (my 25 is very low in a normal range of 50-300) but my doctor told me it was fine. I'm now taking celtic salt in warm water daily, which makes me feel better (its good for all sorts of things - here's a blurb from the maker I use:
                    • Celtic Sea Salts are a prime condiment that stimulates salivation, helps to balance and replenishes all of the body's electrolytes.
                    • It provides renewed energy
                    • It gives you a high resistance to infections and bacterial diseases
                    • It supplies all 82 vital trace minerals to promote optimum biological function and cellular maintenance.
                    • It balances alkaline/acid levelsIt restores good digestionThe natural iodine in these salts protects against radiation, atomic fallout and many other pollutants. It can aid in relieving allergies and skin diseasesAnd overall greatly reduces toxins and to help prevent ill-healthProperly stored, salt keeps virtually indefinitely.
I am only doing this short term and after a bout of boozing, where I lose all my minerals from too much drinking and diarrhea. It also helps me sleep through the night because I don't have to get up every couple hours to pee. Its freedom!
