Spectrum, you are really me, but you just don't know it.:H
I have 2 things to suggest for you that might, or mightn't, tip the scales for you.
1) Refine your vitamin/supp/amino regime. Make sure you do it regularly, research what supplements should be taken together with which ones, and with food or between meals (most aminos should be taken on an empty stomach, for instance... which has always made All-One suspect to me, but that's just my personal humble assessment).
Do it right, make a routine, a regimen out of it (just like in Seven Weeks -- just make it your OWN regimen) -- set up pill boxes or bags with labels and times of days, and don't skip doses or take them at the wrong time.
I would also suggest adding kudzu and more l-glut in powder form on an empty stomach... 5grams 3xday.
2) I know this will seem heretical on the Holistic Healing forum, but I would suggest (very quietly) that if after years of pursuing a very structured holistic healing approach, you still drink a lot, you look at the meds section, specifically at baclofen and naltrexone. In small amounts, these meds can give you a little extra boost towards a goal you are working so hard and so diligently towards holistically.
In fact, baclofen is more like a supplement, since it is found in all living mammals on earth (I can't speak for other planets, though) -- so adding it is the same as adding synthetic vitamins, imo... but not many people want to accept or believe that about baclofen, chiefly because it is dispensed by prescription only in many countries (although not all... I believe Spain is an exception). btw, L-tryptophan used to be a scrip only supp until recently, as well.
OK, enough heresy. I believe you (and Bruun and the others here) are on the right track, and holistic healing is the key to healing long-term.
You can contact me at MWObeatle@gmail.com if you want more information.Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life... And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

I notice the Holistic Healing forum has been AWFULLY quiet lately.
Is it because I have been spending so much time over on meds (for, like, the past 2 years:H)?
Anyway, after rereading Spec's original, I wanted to stress again the importance of routine and consistency. (She mentioned it herself.) When I am drinking, this is hard to manage. So I have to be very prepared. Everything has to be organized ahead of time. I need to make up all doses and times for doses a day or two in advance. I've learned how important this is the hard way. As in years of messing it up.
The other thing I didn't mention, but that has been crucial to me, has been keeping track of everything. I have separate lists and such, in a looseleaf binder, but there are many ways to do it. It helps me keep track of what I am doing/haven't done, throughout the day, and also to keep an ongoing journal to look back on. I couldn't function w/o it. But that's just me.
I hope you are well, and continuing to actively pursue healing... it's the only way to get well.Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life... And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

Spectrum, where are you?
Spectrum, you are not alone in reverting. A very wise member here (or two of them) have told me, never stop stopping. Doggy Girl is a very wise soul and keeps telling me that.
Beatle is right on with the L-glut, try doing either just that or just the All-One. I know when you're drinking its hard to be consistent with lots of supplements, so just choose All-One and take it as you make dinner or at some point where you know you'll see and do it daily. Do you make coffee daily? Have it then. I use a Magic Bullet for that and its fast and easy so I do it.
Another note to you and to self: One thing RJ said in her book was that many people fail at stopping because they really don't believe they can. If you can suspend that thought/belief, you have a much better shot. So work on getting over that thought, and work on the All-One routine.
Keep on keeping on, S. We're in this with you, we're all on a path. Have faith in yourself. Start working towards having it.

Spectrum?? Don't be ashamed. Beatle and Brunn---it's not about us saving anyone but ourselves. That's the only way we can help others---by saving ourselves--right?Psalms 119:45

I have been on this site and forum for 5 years, and I have seen many people save each other while they saved themselves...by sharing information, knowledge, experience, ideas, and supporting each other, sober or not.
In fact, I think that's what this forum and MWO are all about. So it shakes me up when I read something like that. At least that's what it sounds like you are saying-- but maybe it was something different entirely.
In any case, just because I am not 100% AF at this point, I don't feel I cannot help others now, or even when I was at the beginning of my journey.
It has been a long road, for sure, and I have shared it with many others. I have been helped by countless others, and I believe I have helped countless -- while saving myself.

Beatle, looking forward to your contributions as you get whole and healed. You have a ton of information to share, so don't wait for invitations to offer up your goods. I would ask for you to jump in anywhere if you need support or have support to offer.
