ok here's a more specific recipe I just made and it's delish (to me anyways)
I peel everything as it's not organic unfortunately
      2" of english cuc
      2" fat carrot
      1/2 celery stick
      1/3 large beet
      1/4 lemon
1/3 tsp organic gr ginger(if you've never tried organic spices--they are well worth the extra--far more flavourful and aromatic)
I could have put 1/4 tsp unrefined brittany sea salt but forgot(actually I can add that now)
      4 ice cubes
1/2 to 3/4 cup water(I have great well water)
start slow if using a blender-gradually increase speed to high as you see veggies getting finer
it's a bout a 2 minute blending process with mine
      cheers!

ps to increase live enzyme activity drink slowly -- savour each mouthful and let your mouth produce saliva rich in enzymes before swallowing
      Psalms 119:45

Ok, thank you so much for your advice, but I havent even bothered to get my juicer out yet, and Ive got no money left to go and buy all these veggies. Today I havent even really bothered eating yet, I forced down a plum and a satsuma but thats it. Going to make my tea now, chicken and salad and potatoes. So sorry, you have been so kind to give me this advice but I just havent done it. Yet.

LOL what was revolting about it? Taste or texture? If you tell me the amounts you used it would be easier to help you adjust things. You will probably need to use some apple or pineapple in your mix to get you going. Are you a sugar junkie?

No Im not normally a sugar junkie but whe |Ive made juice before Ive always added apple or carrot. It was just like watered down celery, but worse, I think I should go back to the juicer and not add the water. Whatever Im not going to do that again, I had such high hopes.

just cut back on the water some and add the apple if you think clean up will be easier with the blenderer and keep you at it

                        Hi to All,

I have just found this on Youtube today.

A little bit long, but very interesting:

Would love a vegan/raw food thread

                          Hi Brian and Ringing Cedars,

Being you two sound very well versed in the world of vegan, raw foods, and juicing, would either of you be willing to start a thread to post recipes for that type of eating over in the holistic section? We have a very good Real Food thread going but it includes meat and dairy. I am just (ashamed to say this) new to this world of healthier eating even though for years I have heard how bad processed food is, etc. Picked up a book "The Science of being Skinny" that changed my life and watching movies such as "Sick, Fat, and almost Dead" and "Food Matters" are making me really want to change my eating style drastically. We have started juicing and eventually may cut out dairy and meat but we're not there yet. Would love some Easter ideas (when one doesn't have ham and the fattening green bean and mushroom soup dish that many make, or the hashbrown and cheese side dish that my teens love). So happy to see others have the same belief system for healthy eating.

                          :l

p.s. I could start the thread myself but am so new to this world of eating that would appreciate a more well versed member create it. :h

                            Hi Eve11,

                            Thanks for your comments.
I do not really have any Easter recipe.
I mostly juice celery and broccoli.
                            They are both very healthy.
I can give you a salad recipe that is one of my favorite, though.

Try to slice up an avocado and a tomato and put some blue cheese on it.
I think it is very good!
