    L-glutamine - Unbelieveable

    Hi ya all,

Space - the pdf is just a file, same as a doc or mp4 file. Its an ebook on quitting sugar and has some good advice, I can send it to you if you like.

I get really sick and tired of the "authorities" saying that this is good or bad for you - my grandparents ate milk & cheese and it didn't kill them, so I just eat what I like (in moderation) because like you, I love my cuppa.

Destiniey, I'll have a look for that article, sounds interesting.

Destiniey, I couldnt find the magazine article but that sounds a good idea. I noticed tho when I followed Atkins that the carb craving dissapeared after a couple of days tho so just doing two days you wouldnt get that benifit.

To go low carb I would have to not eat bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, gravy and sauces, fruit, root veg and beans. I do know thats doable but it does get boring and I find myself feeling like Im eating the same foods all the time, because its those foods that make food nice to eat.

I too hate the way the authorities will tell us whats bad for us, its so confusing and makes me just want to give up on the idea of trying to eat more healthily when I start reading all the stuff that gets published. Really its should just be about eating good fresh food in sensible amounts, but thats so hard to do.

I just noticed your mood trixie, whats up

It does get very frustrating...one week they tell you caffeine is bad..then they say its wonderful and cures this or that. Then it's eggs, fish, butter, cheese...geez it can make your head spin! Ha! I look at all the generations before me that ate all of that and then some and they were fine and had less ailments than we do nowadays! I agree...everything in moderation! I will try to find that article and post the link...it doesn't really make sense unless you read it. Have a great day everyone!

          Hey Destiniey,

Hows the AF days going? I noticed you have 4 days under your belt, well done, excellent stuff.

BTW, starting my L-Glut today at last. The powder arrived before the capsules, which is good.

Feeling very tired, does anyone take the Kudzu Rescue, I have noticed it gives me a similar sort of tiredness (really heavy eyes) that the Baclofen did a few years back. Anyone else get the same side effect?

Hi Trixie! My AF days are going good...today is day 6 and I have never been sober that long in a loooong time! I am glad that you got the L-Glut....I swear by it. I take a mix of supplements and haven't noticed them making me feel tired. I take the Kudzu Rescue regularly and have had no side effects. I take the L-Glut and the Kudzu together as they both work well on an empty stomach. The dosage of the Kudzu that I do is 2 capsules 3 X a day. I hope this helps!

Great on the 6 days destiney. I am taking L glut but not noticing any difference still, not sure why Im bothering to tell you the truth but want to look into it more and decide whether to buy the other brand and try that again.

How are you feeling Trixie have you got your topa yet? no, I dont think you will have from what I can remember. Hang on it there, by the way I love your avatar

That is super awesome Destiniey - you must feel so proud of yourself, I can tell you are pretty pleased. You should be :goodjob:

Yep got the L-Glut powder (which I ordered after the capsules and arrived first) today is day two, so it'll be more of an indicator today, as I'm going to work and always crack a cider once I get home....always. So I'll be super stoked if I don't feel like it.

Im also taking the Kudzu & L-Glut together, same dosage as you, but I didnt get the Kudzu from this website, I have the Plantetery brand, which a lot of others say is pretty good. So, here's hoping.

                Space
...what sort of L-Glut are you taking, they say the powder is much more potent, and maybe you could up the dose to 3 times a day. I read somewhere, might even be on this thread, that you can't OD on L-Glut, its safe to take a lot, but see if you can get that confirmed. Google it perhaps, I'll see if I can find out more when I get to work.

I'm feeling much better (mentally) thanks for asking, feeling confident, the Topa wont arrive for a few weeks I'd say, I got it online from Goldpharma, so not expecting it soon.

I love your Avatar too, that bird is too cute

Here's to another day and hopefully a good one.

Oh WOW its so weird Trixie, you have morning when I have night, you have winter when were having summer:H

I know this to be a fact but to talk to you in real time is a hoot.

Do you see kangaroos and koala bears there. And arnt you scared of all the poisonous things there. I think I would be scared of coming to Aus because of them.

I used to ask my mum and dad why didnt they do the ?1 fare there in the 60s because I wanted to live there when I was a teenager. I think there was a tv show on about peeps whod moved there

:H Hahaha, its not that bad Space.

Yeah there's stuff here that if it bites you it can kill you, but you rarely see those things.

I live in a small town in the NT and we only have dirt roads (which is not the norm) but there are wallabies (small kangeroo's) everywhere. Mostly you don't see them much in the built up areas.

Koala's don't hang out in the tropics where I live, they live in the gum trees down in the southern parts of Aust.

I hope you have a good day :l (no doubt you're asleep as I type this)

I just take a regular large spoon from my kitchen drawer and heap it with L-Glute. So maybe it's even more that 20 grams. My doc is a former competitive body-builder. She says I can take as much as I want, until I start to smell like ammonia. Which hasn't happened in over a year of taking a LOT.
L-glutamine stabilized my blood sugar to the extent that I've had to quit drinking coffee - or any caffeine at all. NOT my plan!!! But I hate the "jitters" that come with caffeine, and LOVE the effects of L-glute. Take more, if you don't feel any effects. Just take more

Space, here's the post I was telling you about (it's on page one of this thread) - maybe increase your dose of L-Glut, worth a try

Thanks Trixie thats so kind of you, I have a bit left here so I will give it a go with that. I do have some confusion between L glutamate and glutamine. I have read somewhere, but cant find it now that some meds, that I take reduce glutamine. so if L glut increases it I dont see how it would work. Or maybe Im way off and there nothing to do with each other so take no notice of me on this one, I hope someone who knows what Im on about will chime in and tell me or maybe you know about this

Yeah I see what you mean Space, you kind of take one step back and another step forward to end up where you started.

After 2 days on the L-Glut & longer on the Kudzu and milk thistle etc, I am not so sure there's a whole lot going on. I had two ciders tonight and the cravings were reduced but still there. Once I had one cider, I was quite happy to have another, but I'd had enough, so maybe something was happening.

I might up the dose of L-Glut and see what that does, two doses of a large spoon like RedThread said, instead of a teaspoon.

                          Will let you all know.

Im also been to haveing a large spoonful so we can compare I am ordering some of the first brand I tried. That you didnt want another drink after the second seems good. Are you starting later or anything like that to help to cut down.

Trixie...in the beginning the L-Glut and Kudzu did nothing for me....I might as well have been popping breath mints! Ha! I was getting frustrated and therefore I ended up with too many day 1's....ugh! I increased my dose and took it regularly and even brought some with me in my purse in case I needed an extra dose if a craving came sneaking up on my! I found that after 5 days it really started to help and after that it just helps more and more! So stick with it....I swear by it!
