Sobrexa - Daidzin
Has any one tried Sobrexa from drinklessnow.com? It has Daidzin as its main ingredient which is a photochemical in Kudzu root. Apparently it is super concentrated. Wondering if anyone has had success with it. They say you will naturally decrease your desire/need for alcohol or it will even cease and stay that way during the eight week treatment. It's a liquid that you drink three times a day for those who do t know. ThxTags: None

Sobrexa - Daidzin
Found 3 reviews of it. 1 bad and two good. Since it's so hard to find people who seem "real" who are talking about how well it works it makes me think it must be a scam.
I'd like to see the "private forum" they advertise. Why wouldn't they want people to see their forum and be enticed to drop the $800 smackaroonies?

Sobrexa - Daidzin
I bought and received the Sobrexa program a little over a week ago. I'm an alcoholic 18 years and have used baclofen successfully. But I wanted something that worked a little more naturally and wouldn't have side effects if I missed a dose.
I had been drinking 15oz. of 90 proof bourbon daily along with one full gram of Xanax in the am get me through day until the alcohol at night. I don't know if it is the placebo effect yet or what but after six days on the program I've dropped to half gram of Xanax and 7 oz. hard drink in the evening.
My first three days I was still drinking the full 15-16 oz of drink. The next morning I felt strangely "hung over" and tired and sleepy the entire morning. This was strange for me because I'd been drinking alcohol so long that hangovers were a thing of the distant past. Beginning on the fourth day my drink intake began to drop dramatically. I began to fill drunk on fewer drinks which caused me to stop drinking sooner than usual and start eating something. Even though I was feeling drunk sooner my coordination and cognizant levels were on par with the fewer drinks I was having. That's the best way I can explain it.
The protocol for the program is this: The first week you superpose on the Sobrexa, taking 4 dropper fills of the liquid 6 times a day, then dropping to three times a day for the remainder of the 8 week program. They give you another herbal product, Kalamaro, which is supposed to calm you in stressful situations. I can't detect a real affect from it so I can't tell you one way or the other if it is helping me. There does seem to be more of an absence of anxiety after taking it but I'm just not clear on this yet.
The program also comes with a booklet giving dietary guidelines and the twelve "super foods" for a healthier liver, exercises specifically for sleep, healthier liver, and kidneys. I originally balked at the exercises thinking were quasi spiritual tai chi type movements, but the author and developer of the exercises sent me a very detailed explanation saying that the movements and stretches were based on science. He went on to say that the movements are designed to increase lymph flow to specific organs and tissues, thereby hastening the healing process. Also, because of the deep breathing that goes along with it, that an increase of oxygen intake by the body will take place over time. It sounded all plausible to me.
That's my take on it so far, and again I'm only on my seventh day on the program and only time will tell if I continue to get the same results. The main ingredient (there are many others) of Sobrexa seems to be daidzin, an extract in Kudzu. You may get the same results by going with just Kudzu capsules that are sold on this site, but even those can get expensive if purchased over time. I have no way of knowing the concentration of daidzin in the Sobrexa program vs Kudzu capsules.
Anyway, that has been my experience with the program has been successful so far, but it's still early. It does cost $800 and that is expensive which is something one needs to ponder. Any amount is worth it to me if I can get off the drink.

Spec-
Sorry for late response...just logging back in. I am now in the late fourth week of the Sobrexa program. I believe that Sobrexa contains a highly concentrated extract of kudzu, namely daidzin, among other botanicals.
As I stated earlier, the first week of 4 del perfume of Sobrexa 6 x per day shut down my alcohol intake to a mere 3 to 4 drinks per day, a fourth of what I had been drinking for many years. The program protocol calls for you to drop back to 4 liquId dropperfuls at three times per day. After several days on this regime I noticed that my alcohol intake began to go upward about a drink per day. That tells me I need more of the Sobrexa each day to quell my cravings. The program allows for this but you must order more Sobrexa at a discounted price from original program cost. I will do that.
My personal opinion thus far in the program? I do not believe it is a scam. This stuff can dramatically cut back on one's drinking, but not make you abstinent at my reduced dose. Certainly dosages should differ based on the individual's chemistry and years of abuse.
I will go back to the six dropper fulls per day again until I get to full abstinence. I must achieve complete sobriety to have a chance at health again.
I do believe the Sobrexa product is much, very much stronger than the kudzu capsules. I've taken several of the kudzu capsules many times a day before the soprexa program and just drank right through it.
I think the kudzu extract, daidzin, makes you "feel" drunk well before you really are, thus stopping you earlier than usual. However, your reflexes will be constant with the amount of alcohol you actually drank.
I know this forum category does not receive many hits, but if you would like me to give a day by day journal of my results I will, based on your responses.

SOBREXA UPDATE
Okay guys and gals, it's 8:00 pm my time and I'm still sober and thinking coherently so it's about time I give you an update on my Sobrexa experience (found through drinklessnow.com)
I am in no way affiliated with this company and have posted several times in the past to the effectiveness of baclofen for alcoholism withdrawal and maintenance. Bac is good but it is still a drug and once up to effective doses must be titrated down to avoid very unpleasant side effects. You also have to deal with the hassles of finding a doc to prescribe the high doses for positive effect and ordering off the internet can be a risky business. I longed for a more natural way for a person who continuously fell "off the wagon."
After extensive internet search I found the website that promoted Sobrexa product which claimed to reduce or totally eleminate alcohol after 8 weeks on the program. I ordered (800 smakeroos -US dollars - not cheap!) the product and received it within two days in the states. I don't know if they ship abroad. Being a commercial company, I'm sure they have figured that out.
I don't want to keep repeating myself so you can read my earlier posts on this thread to see my successes and problems with the product. Please do that before reading further.
Now that you have read my previous posts, I can tell you positively that sobrexa has significantly shut down my daily alcohol intake while taking the product. As you know, I've been a hard daily drinker for years, so I may just be a hard case for this company. The first week, after dropperfuls 6 x daily, my drink intake was less than a third of what it had been for many years! After 3 or 4 drinks I simply got "tired" of drinking and then just ate or went on to bed. Felt much better the next morning because I slept better and blood pressure was down.
On to the present - as you know, after the first week of nearly dropping the bottle from the saturated dose of sobrexa, I began to slowly eek my way up on alcohol intake over the weeks of 3 sobrexa doses per day vs 6. But still not up to my original 17 oz. 90proof per day - more like 12.
However, my goal is total abstinence for health reasons. I ordered three more sobrexa bottles at 50 bucks apiece(cringe!) to get back up to the dose that shut the intake way down. I started back at 6 dropperfuls daily and my intake has again dramatically shut down.
Bottom line - for me and probably for many who want to go the natural route, don't waste your time on capsules. I tried the kudzu supps from several companies and got no results, even after repeated doses above the recommended levels. The company did say their extract was way above ground up kudzu and had a much higher percentage of the extract, plus other botanicals which increased the bioflavonalibility of the compound.
It does work, but you will have to determine if this is for you, cost wise. I will have to spend at least $250 above the original 800 to achieve what I hope is total sobriety. It works and is natural to boot - as always my opinion, from a bottom of the bottle drunk.

Sobrexa - Daidzin
Hi again gals and guys - update on my Sobrexa experience in week seven of an eight week program. I've dropped my alcohol intake by a third but I seem to be stuck there. I want total abstinence but in fairness the program promises to dramatically decrease your drinking, not halt it altogether. My experience has been that after a few drinks I begin to get "tired" of drinking well before my usual and then just eat and go to bed - a good thing.
I'm not following every part of the program, like the exercises designed to stimulate organs damaged by alcohol or diet foods good for the liver. I probably should but I'm lazy to their instructions. I am walking 2.5 miles per day so I hope that substitutes.
My opinion is that 2/3 less is better than what I was drinking before so for that reason the program is successful. Again, my goal is abstinence and this may require motivation and willpower on my part. I have plenty of motivation - it's the willpower that I have a problem with.
What about you? Comments? Solutions to the willpower problem in turning down alcohol?

Chili pepper, I don't think will power is really the answer. If so, you'll be spending the rest of your life fighting to not do something you really want to do. The feeling of deprivation can be unbearable, so you give in. I think the key is to take the desire and the glamor and the treat away from alcohol. See It for what is really is, poison that we have been brainwashed to believe actually does something good for us. There are several good threads here on 2 books... "Easy Way to Stop Drinking" and "Kick the Drink, Easily". These books shed a new light on how we perceive alcohol and how but just realizing a few facts, you can look at it differently.
Hopefully that may help with the "willpower" aspect. I think the bottom
Line is that there is no magic bullet and no magic pill to get rid of this.

Thanks for the info. Peace. I will go through the threads and probably order the books. By the way, I've continued to drop my alcohol intake by 2/3 of original using the Sobrexa without willpower. This is amazing for a hopeless alcoholic like me. But I need total sobriety which will probably take extra help from other sources.
Thanks again. I assume we're all in this "boat" together to various degrees.
