    I Wonder......

If it would be possible to make a concoction of say... Valerian Root, Lithium, 5htp, Kava Kava and who knows what else that would affect a bit like alcohol - maybe enough so that it could replace my daily ritual of pouring wine while making supper and then inevitably drinking the whole bottle plus some, sometimes.

Hmm... Have any of you tried this? Do you have any ideas about combos that would not be dangerous - or less dangerous than alcohol (LOL)

I can't help but think that if I got close to the same feeling of relaxation, numbness, anxiety relief, tension relief that the concoction could take the place of wine.

... A magic replacement for alcohol

And saving 700 - 1500 calories a day! Whoot! Whoot!! Seriously, an average bottle of wine is 700ish calories, then throw in all the extra c.r.a.p. one tends to eat while drinking to keep the buzz nice and evened out or because you can't feel that you are actually full...

Add HOPS capsules to the list

Interesting. I didn't know hops in large quantities had such an affect.

Hops are a well-documented sedative. Just 2-3 of these 350mg, all-vegan gelcaps may be beneficial for mood swings, stress and anxiety. Studies have shown Hops to be a hypnotic, promoting sleep without disturbing alertness. This is one of only two plants in the genus cannabinaceae with the other being, as the generic name suggests, the Cannabis plant, so its effects are not surprising

Hops are a climbing vine which can grow to 20 feet. The word hops comes from the Anglo Saxon hoppan which means 'to climb'. It is member of the hemp family and was once thought of as being dangerous because it was noticed that harvesters fell asleep while gathering them! Hops are also sometimes found in combination products with Passion Flower (Passiflora incanata), Scullcap, or with a high percentage of alcohol (up to 70% grain alcohol), making the association between the herb and possible sedative or hypnotic effects more complex.

        I Wonder......

Quoting my post from another thread. Just got Lithium. Am thinking of adding Hops capsules or Tea to the below affect:
GOSH dang. I took 10mg of Lithium Orotate this morning. I don't know what I'm feeling - maybe that benzo effect someone spoke of. Seriously, it hit me with that numbing, overly calming, lazy-thick feeling that alcohol gives me. My plan was to take 10mg 3x a day but I cannot sharply concentrate on my work. I am going to take 10mg just before wine drinking time at dinner making time. I don't think I will want to drink while taking this. I have never felt like this before. Very weird. I think someone said you build up a tolerance and it no longer affects you as deeply. I will report my findings over the next days. P.S. I did not take it with Choline. I took it with my multi vitamin by Twin Labs. I take my B-supplements on an empty stomach later in the day so I figure I had plenty of choline etc. floating around in me.
