I have one of those stacking gizmos. They are easier to manage than the jars. But jars are free, so that is a plus.My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.

Blondie, are you spraying ample water over all of the sprouts? If you do this twice daily, mold doesn't usually have a chance to get established. My life is better without alcohol, since 9/1/12. My sobriety tool is the list at permalink 236 on the toolbox thread under monthly abstinance.

Why Eat Sprouts?
I'm put some alfalfa sprouts in a mason jar two days ago to sprout for my smoothies. It is a great little garden in your kitchen and easy. I used to grow them years back and quit. So this week I pulled out my jar and lids and threw some seeds in. I figure they'd be a good addition to the veggie/fruit smootie I drink daily. I grind up hemp seeds for protein in them, too. I was using Flax seeds and sometimes pumpkin and sesame seeds, but I switched to Hemp because they are a good source of protein. I can't use soy or dairy protein.
I'll check your link out Dizzy. I need to get some more seeds to keep it up and want a variety, not just alfalfa. All you need is some mason jars and the seeds. You can buy special lids or use cheesecloth over the top. It's easy!Rule your mind or it will rule you. It is from a thought that an action grows. :bat

And thanks RC about the peroxide; I did read something about that but was hesitant using it. Will give it a go as I still have boxes of seeds!!
And thanks IAD
