    HCG weight loss

Hey LG....I had ordered 2 houfe bottles of L-Glut from Puritan's Pride prior to deciding to switch over to the powder. If it was 2 for 1 deal so it's no biggie...I have been opening up the caps and putting it in water and only to find that it doesn't disolve very good and I end up having to "chase" the L-Glut around the glass to drink it all up! Ha! I put it in seltzer this morning and that seems to help it a little bit. Oh well...it's my morning challenge..how long will it take me to catch the floating L-Glut....HA!

      Hi Red,

Your post has me goggling away "l-glute blood sugar," "l-glute diabetes." I don't question your experience at all, wantto. I've just never heard, seen, nor read about l-glutamine INCREASING blood sugar. My quick run through the web also keeps repeating that l-glutamine is helpful for pre- and diabetic conditions.
I have deleted my post regarding the L-glut's effect on me. I took some again today and it turns out that my Truetrack blood gucose meter is totally unreliable.
At one point I tested myselt using 3 of my fingers within a couple of minutes and one measurement was 130 and another one was 172. Go figure.
I am going to stop buying these test strips, because they cost a fortune and seemingly they are useless!

:thanks:, wanto! I was going a little bonkers trying to figure out how that had happened ! I do know that some people cannot take it for some reasons. I forget all the things that I've seen posted, but one woman I know found that it aggravated her uterine fybroid tumors. Well, that's what she attributed it to; I'm not sure I buy even that, but I had to honor her experience.

And ain't it great. You have outed "Truetrack!" And my wild-arse enthusiasm for mega-doses of l-glutamine remains unabated

Yep! I've put that sucker in the trash!
          That's where it belongs....
I will give L-glut another try for a month. See if it works for me or not.

            HCG weight loss

            Hi you all, good morning!

I am trying glutamine yet again, this giant tub of it I bought three years ago to replace all the capsules I had been taking to no avail ... the larger dose seems like a good idea to try. I was only doing 1000mg/per or so. I felt it aggravated my ADD but I'm willing to try again, I'm desperate. I did a tablespoon a couple of times last week and it seemed to help with my appetite but I keep forgetting to take it.

I was reading this morning that if you have enough protein for breakfast you shouldn't be craving anything/snacking until lunch. And if you crave/snack between lunch and dinner, its because you didn't have anything sweet for breakfast. The theory is that you can and should have something sweet to end your breakfast, because that is when you can afford it, cortisol is low and so is something else. I thought it was a little crazy they didn't use fruit as the primary example but instead cookies. However, I used it as an excuse to have some M&M's to end my breakfast today. Now its noon and I'm going to have a protein shake with glutamine and see how I do avoiding sweets and alcohol. Tomorrow is an early trip to the airport during rush hour so I'm nervous as usual about missing my plane already! You'd think after 25 years I'd be cool with it but you never know with traffic. Yes, I'm giving myself an extra half hour to get there...

Anyways, anxiety is a sweets/alcohol trigger so I'll be interested to see how this helps.

I think its time to try and enjoy my Sunday and pack for my trip too.

Best wishes for a low cal healthy day to all.

              HCG weight loss

Hi, I've been interested myself in the HCG drops diet... I actually don't eat much as per-se, yet the weight doesn't shed, therefore my interest.
Having read about Red's L-Glutamine's experience I think I'll try the amounts, I've only been taking the 4000 to 5000 mg. divided through the day in four or five doses to prevent/try to prevent cravings. I have the powedered stuff bought from a fitness products shop but I have never tried out the amount of intake above 5000 mg., which is what the prescription on the product states... so going to try it out!
Obviously this seems to be turning into a thread about L-Gluta...!
So, anyone kwons which are the side effects of too much L-Glutamine? If it is in another thread just kindly direct me to it. :thanks:

I've been trying the L-Glut, but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Granted I only take it in the mornings, the powder form--a large amount. I have been craving sweets more than ever. I have also gained back 4 of the 8 lbs I lost. Seems like a losing battle...or a gaining one. ((((

I get concerned about mega doses of anything. Just because it's natural does not mean we aren't messing with our brain chemistry.

I don't think enough studies have been done on these things and I think we all need to be a bit careful.

Recall when Vitamin E was all the rage? Then they come out later with negative findings?

Just be careful is all I am saying. All in moderation I think.

HCG works, nothing like injecting some mess into you. Met someone not long ago doing that cr#p.

Exercise works wonders all. Not that I can talk but I have a herniated disc and pinched nerve. Don't care I start the weights manana as I am Nicaragua in 4 months. Gotta be in shape.

                    Leave the supps alone.

So I am throwing back glut, inositol, choline, and a mess of other nutrients.

I did get over the flu pretty quick. I still ate about 7 Jolly Ranchers last night. My tongue was purple for about 20 hrs.

The bac still helps although I am struggling for other reasons.

HCG, dunno. The ladies I met on it were a mess but I suspect they were doing lots of fun filled things.
I just can't see sticking a needle in my glut. I don't think the pills work as well and all this is academic. Short term fix really.
