Through sheer determination and some serious life changes, I have currently gone 8 months with no alcohol. This is maybe a silly question, but I'll ask it anyway. I know some members like taking DMAE to decrease cravings, I'm more interested in it for it's function to increase acetylcholine, for a memory/mood enhancer, as I feel I have my cravings under control. One thing that worries me is the fact it's called an amino alcohol. Since I managed to quit my drinking I've been nervous about putting anything in my body containing the word alcohol, ie mouthwash etc. Is DMAE alcohol?? And if not, what is an amino alcohol? Is this anything for me to be concerned about? I purchased some DMAE, but have been reluctant to take it until someone can put my mind at ease lol. Now I truly feel like an idiot for asking such a silly question, but oh well! :H
