Any Seven Weeks to Sobriety success stories?

Hello, I picked up the book at the library after seeing a mention of a place to purchase the vitamins on a thread. I am considering ordering the vitamins which are the same as those used at the clinic. However, I've been trying (unsuccessfully) for several years to stop drinking and before I spend $500 on vitamins, wanted to hear if anyone here had tried it with success. I did order the starter pack from MWO initially, listened to the tapes, etc. Still found a way to drink my wine.

I ordered their products TWELVE YEARS before I quit! You might conclude that they don't work but I disagree since I was minimizing and repairing damage all the time I took them. I drank daily for the last 23 years( 500ml vodka a day!) and all my blood work was normal!

When I was READY to quit they made it easy with no real withdrawals or craving ........so even if you ARE drinking take the supplements is my advice.

      Hi, 4my health:

I've never actually purchased the vitamins from this site but just used the ones they recommended but bought them at local drug/vitamin stores. I find them (l-glutamine and kudzu) to be helpful for me and I'd been a wine drinker of 1.5 bottles per day x 20 years. I started here just 1 month ago and I can't drink 1 bottle of wine per day now EVEN if I wanted to today because for some reason, kudzu doesn't allow me to. But everyone is different, have you tried prescription meds like topamax or baclofen which a lot of people seem to have success w?

Thanks for the reply Kuya & congratulations on your success! I may give them a try, hard to think of spending $500 though.

Hi Ally. That is great that you r having so much success with l-glut & kudzu. I'll pick up some kudzu & hope it helps. I did try bac and it did help but quit taking it bc I was ordering it online & it was expensive. I'd love to find a natural way to reduce cravings.
So you can have a few glasses is wine & then stop?

              4 my health:

I bought kudzu from different places, the ones I got called planetary herbals (full spectrum) work well, from vitamin shoppe. The kudzu from another company didn't. I plan to try the one from MWO soon just to compare.

Yes, l-glut and kudzu help my cravings, and when on rare occasions that I do drink, I can only have 1-2 glasses. I don't know how it happens, but it does.

Ok I'm going to look for planetary herbals then. Thanks for the info. Must be heavenly to stop after two glasses!! Thanks!

I read the book about 7 years ago. Nothing wrong with the healthy part of it. For me I could not stop drinking until I got some help.

Hi, I bought all the supps recommended in the book, some of the supps are to repair the digestive system which adds up. Also most alcoholics are hypoglycemic and they offer diet and menu suggestions which are very healthy. I felt great when following it, but I wasn't ready to surrender then. I agree with Kuya in that L-Glut is marvellous stuff. I did surrender and still refer to the book.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like l-glut did it for you along with attitude.
