Morning rituals
Moss I hope you are rejuvinated and feeling better.
Strong I haven't been keeping up with the Tibetans unfortunately but need to get back to them. I liked the idea because its easily doable.of course I think if you wanted to take longer then you can but I just go as far as I can then stop and am only doing 8 reps. The first time I tried to do the 21 but there was no way I could manage that so I want to increase to 10 now. Ijust looked on you tube and the first one that came up was a woman, one of those slim, young, bendy yoga ones you see and know Im never going to manage what they do but its not about that, its about improving and helping me as much as I can.

Morning rituals
Nothing like being surrounded by unconditional love to help heal a broken spirit. I just got home from my trip, and I'm relaxed, happy, and finally of sound mind. LOL. Five days with my oldest friend - laying around in our PJs, relaxing, laughing, just being silly was salve to my soul. Her husband is a wonderful man who welcomed me with open arms, so I am truly blessed. And the pi?ce de r?sistance - she's a great cook and I don't remember the last time I ate such wonderful food with good friends.
Hope you all are doing just as well. I have made a new promise to myself. I will visit my hometown more often. The drive is trying, but the end result is worth it. Peace to you all. I need to tell K9 that I bought a little essential oil diffuser on my trip. I have grapefruit oil in it right now, and it's making me smile.

I am so happy for you Moss Rose that you had a serene, rejuvenating visit with your friends. It sure feels good to get the self-nourishing cup filled up again.
I love your quote in your signature."If you do not change direction, you may end up where you are heading."

Morning rituals
Just found this thread tonight. Some great morning rituals posted here. And not only that but, things you can do every day! (Lol)
MRose sounds like your getaway was just what the doctor ordered. Glad you had such a wonderful time.
My morning routine is all about animals too. Dogs, horses and used to have cows but no longer. Hungover or not they require your attention and care. But it's way better taking a hike and cleaning stalls clear headed and doing a job well versus just going through the motions. My dogs seem to appreciate the spring in my step that was nonexistant when foggy headed.
I try to down a glass or two of water first thing in the a.m.as I hear its good for flushing kidneys. Can't go without a strong cup or two of Joe as well. Then a piece of fruit or a protein smoothie next. I'm
going to check out the 5 Tibetans and aim to express gratitude first thing as well as throughout the day.
Thanks for this thread! Very helpful indeed.

Morning rituals
Okay - looked up the 5 Tibetans on YouTube and watched a couple of folks go through the moves (or Chakras; sp) Watching the video I thought okay, this doesn't look too tough. Oh my was I wrong. Thinking I'm in pretty good shape from tennis and working out, there is no way i could do 21 of any of these moves. Closest was the leg lift, but the others were pathetic. Plus, not sure my form was correct and I remember from my yoga days, it's all about form. This is quite the new challenge and I like it. Anyone else experience this?

Morning rituals
Hi, MossRose
I am going to try this. Thanks for the information. I found this description that helped me improve my form: Print Version - Five Tibetan Rites
Also, I like the substitute for exercise #4 because of a neck problem.
I'll be interested to see if there are any effects.
I hope you're doing well!

Morning rituals
Hi all, newbie to this thread...
I'm in the process of formulating my morning routine, which I suspect will help me stay on track greatly. Right now my thoughts are some combination of these:
Wake
Large water, meds/supps
10 min meditation
10 min stretching
coffee
10 min Lumosity brain games
coffee refill
Then boot up computer. As it boots, use the time to write out positive affirmations/beliefs, and do some quick sketching (I'm an artist by trade)
Then, to do list/goals for the day
And only then, email/internet and onwards.
Any feedback welcome!

Tom - I agree. I try to keep my morning rituals fluid. As long as I do a few of the things on my list, my day just seems to flow better. NS - I do the substitute for #4 too. I feel like it's still working the right muscle groups SBL - I've seen the ads for Lumosity brain games, but haven't tried them yet. Going to have to check it out.
I'm thinking of starting a new thread. I've spent the last couple of weeks space clearing my house. It's been a wonderful and amazing experience. In fact, it's changed my life. I only mention it, because it's an offshoot from this thread. It started here and ended there - and I really want to share it with all of you. I'll try to post about it tomorrow. Bright blessings and peace to you all.

Morning rituals
Every morning I wake up and read from the Prosperity Bible, edited by Napoleon Hill. Its a great huge book full of POSITIVITY! It gives me positive armor to face the world (in my home and out) that may be more negative than I can handle on my own. In this early stage (I am 23 days in), I am so aware of how vulnerable I am to emotions...on my way to Yoga now!

don't know if you've ever heard/read any Dr Schulze's writings (sometimes rantings), he is a big proponent of "trashing", cleaning out the past sort of thing and just getting clutter out of the way. It is part of his natural healing process. I use his tinctures BUT they do have AL in them, though they have not caused me to go back to drinking and there's no way I'd drink enough of those concoctions to think about getting a buzz.
Anyway, thought it interesting to read the cleaning out the house. Best to you

Hanoj - I think waking up to positivity is a great idea. I don't think we realize how much we are bombarded with negative images on a daily basis. Good for you. You've inspired me to think carefully about my reading and TV viewing choices. And congrats on 23 days.!!
