    Hi all

When I got in last night I went on a hunt for my old info on it. First I'd heard of it was in 2003, from this guy's site -

    Salvia Divinorum, Diviners Sage

But I did some more reading on it and while I don't recall what or where now, it was enough to make me leery enough to nix the idea. So last night I dug up what I could find and I now remember why it scared me off - it's the most potent naturally-occurring psychoactive compound known. Just what I need to avoid drinking - a short period of being completely out of my mind. :eeks: It only lasts for 5 min to an hour to boot, so one would have to be whacked-out a lot, I would think. No thanks. I remember my third, and last, LSD trip 38 years ago like it was yesterday. Apparently it's popular with the kids these days.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I look forward to a forum where folks aren't hurling insults and baiting each other!!

    And welcome to you, pelonis

      Hi all

Welcome Calysta, and pelonis too. I'd never heard of Kudzu or this website and it's wonderful offerings, and the forum ... until a few weeks back. I have never felt as much hope about my "problem" as I did when I started reading through these posts. I'm learning so much. I have to say that this is the best place I've ever found for those struggling with alcohol problems. I was a member of another site, off and on for a few years, but they push AA (which is a great program, but just not for me), and I couldn't really find my way around how to get past the AA thing.

Here's to some great successes in our near future!

        Hi all

Hi again Calysta. I too googled my fanny off looking for something that "felt right" and never came across MWO until my Angel from a low carb diet forum sent me a private message suggesting I check it out. Now you can see why I call her my Angel (**waving to my Angel**). "What Cat42 said" - word for word - about what I was looking for, what I kept finding, and why that was frustrating for me. Thank you Catt!!

Best wishes for an awesome, hope filled day of moving forward!
