    Some advice

I've been reading for a while. Thanks for all your insight and inspiration. I'm trying very hard to moderate and some days are better than others. The worst is at 4pm -- I just get so restless I don't know what to do. Can't keep my mind on reading, tv, anything. Can't really leave because I have to watch the kids. The Calm Forte works a bit (helps with jitters) but the psychological restlessness is crazy.

Another thing is sleep -- I CAN'T. The nights I don't drink at all (or have just 1 or 2 glasses of wine) are terrible. I wind up taking a sleeping pill. I just hating trading one additiction for another.

    Any insight would help.

I find the best thing for cravings is to take some Kudzu and l-glutamine around that time. Might want to consider it. The Kudzu sold here is great stuff.
I'm really easy to get along with once people learn to worship me

Ditto on the kudzu and l-glut. When I get those serious cravings it does the trick. I'm going AF though, can't moderate. Don

          Hi lll and :welcome:

It is difficult to fill all this new found time, and particularly over the 'drinking hour' - could you take the kids out with you for a walk/to the park? Or play games with them inside, have a nice relaxing bath, write a journal, log on here and read, read, read, start a new hobby??? Maybe start making a list of things you could possibly do - things you've wanted to do but couldn't because you were drinking? Set little goals, plan treats/rewards for being so good! I think the sleep will improve as time goes on - have you tried the CDs? I found them relaxing, though with young children maybe difficult to find the peace and quiet until they're in bed - though what better time to listen?

Good luck and congratulations so far!
