Prose, I just ordered the 2 books you mentioned. Thanks for the recommendation. After being on this thread for the past couple of days I am really feeling positive about going AF on Monday. The group here is great. I am looking forward to the conference because as I said it isn't something I would have done before but now I am opened to new and different things. I have never heard of coast to coast radio. Is it like a normal radio station with a set tuning frequency? I'll google it and see what I can find. Enjoy making your mugs and last night listening to the rain was very calming. It is still raining this morning.

Good morning, Amelia. Are you planning on a full day of painting? You mentioned you get disgruntled when you rush into a painting but it sounds as if you still do excellent work since you get calls from people who have seen your art display. In this world I guess there are the artistic people who produce the art and then the people who buy the art. Throughout the years I have purchased 3 original pieces of art, 5 Van Gogh prints, and was given 3 Degas prints as a gift. I enjoy art I believe because I don't have the talent and wished I did. I took art classes at high school and college and was totally inept at it.

Hi Cuckoo, no unfortunately I am not painting today. Won't be starting full time till next Thursday (winding up work with my other clients). Really looking forward to it though.
Sounds like you have some nice pieces of art around. I guess we haven't bought any yet as we don't own our own place yet (poor excuse I know).
I wish I had taken more classes too - believe me.
But I tend to get by. Hopefully this extended period of 'creating' will benefit me!!

hope you all had a good night,
I didn't get to my mugs but did do a big clean so this morning I am hoping to get at them, have to put the handles on.
cuckoo, glad to hear you ordered those books, I would love to be able to discuss them with someone, kind of like a mini book club! I have always been interested in the idea of a book club but am not much of a "joiner"......
We don't have much art either, it is one of the things I would like to start looking into though,

prose, I'd enjoy discussing them too. Like you I'm not much of a joiner. I getting out my winter clothes today and it is rainy and wet here so I might make a pot of chili for dinner. Go to the grocery store and run a few errnands and finish the MWO book.

hey-last night I clicked on something at the top of this page, called rational recovery, it is mentioned in the book I am reading so thought I would check it out, pretty interesting, was wondering if any of you have time could you google it, there is a "crash course" to take, a very different way of looking at things,

Yep, the pic near your name is your avatar. You can upload one if you like Prose. You can either chose one from the sites image bank, or if you have images stored on your computer, you could use one of those. They do need to be quite small file sizes though.

Thanks Amelia, I finally figured out what an avatar was. About 5 years ago I had a small pond (5' x 8') pond put in the backyard and I love sitting by the pond and the avatar is called pond. That's why I chose it.

prose, I googled rational recovery and it does take a different approach. To complete the program you need to subscribe and the subscription is $29/month or $250/year. I might look into it a little more in depth later today. It is very rainy here and my plans for a hayride tonight just got cancelled.

yes cuckoo, I stopped when I got that far, not going to subscribe to it, but the "crash course" was kind of interesting, takes about 20-30 minutes I would say,
did you do that part? I am always suspicious of something that you can't quite finish until you pay some money,

Ok Cuckoo, I will go with the post number to try and give some perspective about time etc.
When you asked me what time it was in the UK (your post number was 238 - top right hand corner of your post,...in the blue band), you asked 2 mins after I posted and it was 4.35pm then.
So,...erm...I guess you will have to work that out.
