For me it is the satisfaction of going to to the bottle bank and hoping everyone can see the jars and glass bottles of soft drink, instead of the wine bottles(numerous)

-Not having to find an out-of-the-way trash can to get rid of the empties.
-Not worrying about people coming into the kitchen while I'm pouring myself a "quick one."
-Being able to get in my car & go somewhere at a moment's notice.

* no more making plans while drunk and not being able to remember them or follow through with them due to either being still drunk or continuing to drink the day after.

* no more calling myself a loser and that I am piece of garbage to everyone I talk to while drunk.

I love being able to forget something and truly knowing that I FORGOT it .
The other night my son asked me to pick him up a blueberry muffin in the morning. I forgot. When he asked where the muffin was I said I forgot. Plain as that .
Maybe not a lot of memory but no guilt either.

omg, others have done that? I used to use a funnel and put wine back in the bottle so hubby wouldn't know how much of the original I had drunk. I thought I was the only sneaky one.

Ooops, nope, lots of us "sneaky" ones out there, huh?

I really want to get out of that world!!

:new: OMG, I have only finished reading the book, am taking my sups and am awaiting my Top but reading this makes me yearn for what you all are experiencing. This is great!

I did buy the latest CDs and go to bed with one each night. I fall 'deeper and deeper' and for the life of me cannot remember anything until I wake up. I feel refreshed and awesome. My drinking is curbing alot but I look forward to the Top to get me through the rough times.

You guys are so totally awesome. I feel so at home here!!!!!! Blessings to all!

Sneaky; we all are sneaky or try to be sneaky. One other thing I use to do was hide the bottle of voddy in the bathroom in the towel closet. I would go in there to take a few swills when I needed/wanted to and people would wonder why I was drunk after an hour and had to use the bathroom so much. My sister busted me. Oh well - I laugh now.
