Naltrexone is the GREATEST.
After 25 years of solid drinking, which contributed to 3 divorces, I NEVER would have gotten off Alcohol, if not for this GREAT drug.
Once a day suits me . Tried Camprel, but kept forgetting to take it..(3 times per day.)
If ever the urge to drink alcohol returns, I just get back on Naltrexone for a couple of months, This happened a few times in the first 18 months or so.
I have not had any alcohol OR Naltreone for over 2 years now.
Even if I go to a social event with FREE alcohol, I still do not drink, I'm over it.
Naltrexone works by changing the "mood centers" in the brain, which creates the CRAVINGS in the first place. It is also being used now for Gambling addictions.
