Hello Sweetpea, Teardrop, Woolftet, Mad mummy and Eastender, Good day to you all and thank you for the encouragement. I had a bikini on in Florida 2 weeks ago for my sister's graduation and The drinking leading up to the trip, work stress and the beached whale I felt like was definetly a motivation to stop drinking this time. Its so great no to wake up feeling bloated and wondering what I snacked on the night before, and there have been some weird ones in my drunken munchy state. As well, I don't have the heartburn like I use to. Have not lost alot either in 9 days but I think it will take time. Mad mummy, I'm sure there may be a few friends we find that probably were'nt as good of friends as we thought or that they could be somehow jealous of our accomplishment. Just a thought. Teardrop, so true, the emotions. ODAT for me too. Best to you all.

Iam lost for words today hearing the sad new MDBiker has past away. may he REST IN PEACE.

a LIST I KEEP IN MY HAND BAG THAT HE POSTED ON ONE OF MY THREADS I LIKE TO SHARE WITH YOU TODAY:

I could screw it up easily, but i have tried to put in safeguards to prevent me fom losing my mind and drinking.(1) I have y'all to call before i take a drink. (2) I can pray for knowledge and direction. (3) i can come to this site and get help with my predicament. (4) i can read something spiritual if i feel the need to have a drink. And (5) I can make a list, on paper, of the pro's and con's of drinking today. This list of 5 things i need to have with me in my pocket in case i feel the need to have a drink today. Not things I need in my head, because when i am far enough gone to think i need to have a drink, I am not in my right mind enough to remember them. i need to have these written down and placed into my billfold so i can remember to get to them before i drink. I also have to add (6) if all these fail, get drunk. It is always on option i have to cindsider.

It is with extreme sadness that I have read about the cruel taking of such a wonderful man who was doing everything to conquer his addictions by an individual that was drunk. It is a very strong reminder that drinking and driving should never be an option EVER

Bear will be strongly missed by the whole MWO community. My love and thoughts are with his family

Hello Lukalee, Sweetpea, Teardrop Eastender and all you firecrackers. Sorry to heard about MDbiker, thanks for posting his words. Was he in an automobile accident ? My sister took out a fire hydrant and a telephone pole Easter Sunday. I was called to the hospital to see her in traction. This is her 4th offense and I hope she will get the help she so desperatly needs. Day 10 today OMG, never thought it would happen. Had trouble sleeping last night. I suppose my body will be going through alot of changes as it rids itself of the poison. Was tough one last night, drank two perrie waters and 3/4 a bottle of AF merlot. What ever gets ya through the night I say. Hoping for another strong AF weekend. Wishing you all strength, health and happiness.

Just wanted to check in again. Not doing so great. Don't know what the hell happened, but trying to get back on track.
Tomorrow will be a really busy day, so AL shouldn't even cross my mind. I have two promotions to attend, and prom. Oh, it is going to be a long day, and I never stay up late!!!!

After yesterdays sad news I am not feeling very inspired to write much but I just wanted to wish you all a great weekend and hope you achieve your respective goals

I am having computer problems at the moment so if I can't log in for a couple of days don't worry. I shall be back as soon as the problem has been fixed or if it takes longer than a couple of days I will get myself down to the library and log on there

Afraid have not been able to log on too much the past week. The grieving process is going to take a long time, it comes in waves. However, we were priviledged to have had her for so long. After reading about Bear yesterday, it made me think about how we should enjoy each day and I think we all agree that we enjoy it so much more being AF.

Have not had a chance to catch up on all the threads but I know you must have passed the 30 day mark Teardrop, congratulations and well done. You too East, you must be nearly up on 60. It inspires me to get back on track again as I remember all your earlier struggles. Wont be around at the week-end but plan to start again Monday.

Hi Everyone,

I feel a little "empty and vague"today. It has been difficult to concentrate on my paperwork this morning. Thought I would pop in and see how everyone was doing.

Kat you have reminded me that I am not swallowing Gaviscon at all these days, That heartburn was gross just one thing I am thankful for. Was it AL or as you say stange concotions eaten while in his company,I could never remember....
RJ has a thread on general discussion regarding MDBiker. Bear was involved in hit and run by a drunk driver whilst returning home from an AA meeting on his Harley.

Lukalee I am so sorry that you are having a hard time at the moment,It seems that we all have a pattern we follow, its really spooky, Like that pain barrier you get when exercising before the adrenaline rush. Not that I have had that for sometime I like to add! Keeping busy is good as Teardrop says,no time to think.Have a good day anyway.

Teardrop I am glad you like my new Avatar As I have mentioned in the past, I change my Avatar to match my moods, I had been stuck in the old mood for so long, The news about bear took me to another page in my life where I am spending a lot of time in contemplation. The picture is where I am now, feeling a lot more calmer but thoughtful.
I feel like the old me is slowly coming to the surface . I do hope so.
