Welcome Patricia, great to see so many newcomers. Dont worry about venting Shelby, we do it all the time and in fact it's very therapeutic sp??? Lots of us have the same problems, kids, inlaws, parents etc. all part of life I guess. We have all used Al as a crutch for so long that we now have to get used to feeling and dealing with things.

Another beautiful day here so have spent the morning in the garden. Had a BBQ last night and enjoyed my cold AF becks with it. I stocked up today on it plus AF wine, every little thing helps. Have a great day everyone, catch you all later.

Hi everyone! Welcome Patricia! Sounds like everyone is doing relatively well.
East, glad to hear your son is coming to the party. My daughter moved to California and didn't want to speak to me for awhile. It broke my heart. We are great, now. Hopefully, things will get better for you, too. Kids!!!!!!
I had a long day, just tired after getting in late last night. Short on sleep. Early to bed tonight. I am feeling good. I did buy some AF wine but not sure I will even drink it. I have tried it before and it tastes bad. Don't even know why I bought it. Must be the lack of sleep making me make silly choices. Have a great evening everyone. I will check in tomorrow.

Just a quick hello before I head off for my walk with doggies and friend. I find it a great way to start the day. You get the exercise and also can vent. Daughter started exams this morning and other one is driving me mad!!! Since finishing school last Thursday she has been to a birthday party, went shopping with friends, went to first disco, had sleep over and friend stayed for whole day after it. Spent all of Monday out with my friend and her daughter. Yesterday she was bored. Suggested pulling weeds, we have plenty of them, did not go down too well. Luckily I have her booked into stables for three weeks starting next week. Now I just have to get through this week without killing her!!

Have spoken to son today and argued with youngest daughter aren't kids just bitter sweet!

Teardrop 52 days AF today you are incredible, I am sooooo proud of you you have come so far. You really showed a lot of strength for not only yourself but your brother at the market, deep down that thought is always lurking and you were aware of that, thats so courageous of you. Feeling tearful is all part and parcel it seems but much easier to deal with without AL.

Kat when you get the one speed bike let me know the make I would like one too!
I bought case of mixed AF wine prefered the Rose and merlot to the whites,they were not nice at all!

You are right about the wasted time in the bottle, I regret that now although not at the time. Still in retrospect everyone can be an expert, so I intend spending the rest of my life with me, not AL,he never made me feel nothing but alone.
My middle daughter now 24 left home in a bad way broke my heart too, and 5 years later we get along fine. It seems I have three kids that have to learn ltheir Life lessons the hard way, I just need to learn that there is not a damn thing I can do about it!

East sooooooooo pleased you have spoken to your son - these kids of ours can really put us through it at times. Sorry to hear about youngest daughter though - things will get better but as with my daughter there seems to be a love hate relationship that goes with the territory - my motto is keep the door open and sooner or later they need you - on a personal basis I couldn't have coped without your support over the last few months:l Thanks xx

Hi Crackers - I shamefully did not stay aboard the Sweetpea Express. I feel so low today. I overdrank wine on Saturday night AND last night. Can I rejoin? I don't want to bring the rest of you down as it seems like you all are doing so well!! Wish I had the strength.

If you will have me back, where do you get AF wine? I didn't know it existed. Has anyone ordered it at a restaurant? What do I do in this situation - out with friends, have not confided in them because I just don't want to share this yet (except with you all). I do not mind NOT drinking but they will get suspicious. Is there an "inconspicous" way to order AF drinks? I know the best thing is honesty, but I am just too embarrassed to tell them. This is one of my downfalls. I have a dinner to go to this weekend. Any suggestions will help!!

I'm sorry I let you all down. Day 1 for me again.

There is no need to rejoin,:l you just got off the wrong stop, Hop on the next one. I have done it numerous times. Never give up trying is the key. We all learn from our mistakes, try not to beat yourself up about it and move on. Tomorrow is another day, new enough to make different and better decisions.
I personally get my AF wine on line, I am in the UK but others across the pond have done the same. I am sure somone will come along with a website for you.
I have ordered AF beer at restaurants but not seen AF wine. Usually hit the cranberry juice or Tonic looks like a "normal " drink.
You can always use the driving /losing weight excuse with your friends if you do not want to let them know just yet.
Try not to feel bad about yourself that just starts up a vicious cycle that can be difficult to break.
