Sweetpea- Sorry you are feeling a bit down. The weather can have a drastic effect on my mood, too. I try so hard not to allow it, but there is no hope. You are doing a great job being realistic about your situation with moderation and where you are and not slipping back to the bad place. Way to go!!! A walk in the rain is an awesome idea, as long as it is not lightening!!!!!!

East-I felt badly writing about the chocolate shot glasses, because it sounded so good, it was like romancing the devil. But, it was such a cute idea and it was good. Tell your friend after the party, tell him you have already had one someplace and that HE or someone ELSE has to try it. LOL

The funeral yesterday was bittersweet. Of course sad that we lost my uncle, as it was sudden and un-expected. The sweet part was seeing my cousin that I have not seen for several years. We laughed at old memories of her Dad, my Dad, our grandparents, childhood memories and the usual. We also saw a few other relatives that we had not seen for several years as my sister and I both live away from our home town.

Well, here is wishing all those who follow, or anyone I missed a great day! Thank you for all your well wishes to my family. Everyone have a good day. I'll check in after work. (Today is Day18!!!AF) Holy Cow!

Mad-Limoncello is a lemon flavored liqeour (sp) very sweet and tart.

Thank you for the kudos and AF. I am amazed at myself! I felt a little deserving after the funeral. It would have been very nice to come home to a nice glass of wine and just say 'ahhhhhh, it is done........" I asked my sister if she wanted to stop at the store. Actually, I would have bought a bottle of AF wine, and been fine....But, I am glad she said no.

Miserable day here too. Managed a short walk just before the rain. We are off to Montreal and Vermont on vacation so hopefully the weather will be better there. We lived in Montreal for five years and have not really been back apart from a stop over last year in 7 years. Am looking forward to it, a real trip down memory lane!!!

Trying to get as many AF days in before we go as I can and then hopefully moderate over the holiday. I'm usually ok at dinner and a few after, its the drinking alone where I loose the run of myself.

Good luck tomorrow East, will be thinking of you. Hope you soon feel a bit better Sweetpea, this weather is enough to depress anyone. Everyone else big hello.

East...make sure you enjoy yourself on saturday...arranging a party can be stressful, and i hope your hubby feels a lot better on saturday as well. Thinking of you tomorrow.:l
we dont have squirrel in how garden but we do have the odd foxes now and again. going back a quite a few years ago they took our rabbit and the guinea pigs the fox throw up in next the door garden, not very nice. my little girl was so upset not told her what really happen. The rabbit was house train as well.
Shelby... your co-worker sound like a expert at making shots. well done 18days af . Hope your mum is coping alright. Be proud of yourself for not drinking well done again.
Sweetpea... weather cant make it mind up before you know it will be time to turn the clocks back.lol hope you feel better in youself i think a long walk always does the trick. im not good with the garden always chopping everything.

Hi Crackers, Feeling like pooh today - ugh. Drank 3 large glasses of wine (used to be nothing to me) in just over an hour yesterday evening and not a good feeling this morning. Mind you not sure it was such a good feeling last night either, heavens knows what made me knock it back like that, crazy!

Have so much to do now right through to end of July when we go on hols, not getting any "me" time is probably what makes me self-destruct with AL. Not sure what I can do about that with 4 kids, 3 cats, 2 jobs and a husband!!

Have had some lunch and at least now I don't feel so sick any more.

Just back from 3 1/2 hours at the hospital!
Specialist annoyed that my notes included another person with same name medical notes.
The other poor soul has Parkinsons. Big mix up,wrong date of birth,address and phone number!!!!!
Short of it is ,that I am now going to have TAH, Total Abdominal Hysterectomy, no other options availiable due to the size of the Fibroids. This year is such a bum one for me!!!
The doc wants to carry out op asap and asked if I had booked any holidays. I had not butI like you Mad mummy would love a break but ........:upset: doesnt look like in the forseeable future!
Have tons to do before Hubbys birthday bash on saturday, just thought as you all kindly thought of me,should let you know.

East, so sorry to hear your news. That's a bummer, but I am sure you've been dealing with some symptoms from the fybroids..... Like I said the other day, Life comes at you, fast..... As Mad said, plan a great Christmas holiday.

Sorry I didn't check in yesterday. Wasn't feeling very well. We had lunch brought in by one of our sales reps to do a "lunch & learn". I think something I ate didn't agree with me.
I am still going strong starting day 20 today.

My ex-husband called me with some news he felt I should know about our daughter. He lives in CA near her. She is planning on telling me this when I visit he next month, but he felt compelled to tell me himself. Her boyfriend has decided to go to Cuba and explore. He has told my daughter she cannot go because it is too dangerous for her. They have decided to go their separate ways in their relationship, too. Which is good news as none of us are too fond of him anyway. But, then she has decided she wants to go to a school in Manchester, England to complete her masters degree in Anthropology. That is great, it would be a great experience for her. However, for me, it is depressing, because it is ever farther away!!! My husband said, what difference does it make, you don't see her now!!!!!! I guess he is right. I am not going to get to bent out of shape about it, until she has boarded to plane to leave. I don't even know if she has applied, or been accepted or even has funding lined up.

One thing I must say though, is She has her big girl pants on!!!!!!!! I would certainly be very proud of her for doing this all on her own.

East..OMG .3 1/2 hours that a long time. NHS i use to work on there bank staff a few years back....Say no more!
Shelby...hope you are feeling well today if ever you do come to England to see your daughter you could always have a get together MWO. Sound like your daughter got her head screw on..It will be a great experience for her, you must be very proud of her.

Just back from my travels and feeling really good and upbeat. Weather sunny this morning and gets everyone in the holiday mood. Looking at the activity on the boards it seems like holiday time for a lot of people at the moment

East I hope the party went well on Saturday you must tell us all about it. I am sooooo sorry about the TAH but you will feel much better after you have had it done. If the fibroids are that large you will feel so much better once you get over the initial operation. I have been through the same thing myself and there are a few things you must do. Firstly take the painkillers on a regular basis after the operation because it will have a much better effect on the pain relief than waiting till you think you need them. The tablets they have these days are really very good. Secondly don't be tempted to lift anything for the first 3 months because it will undo the good work that has been done (I think it is still the same and they will advise you that anything over a kettle with a bit of water in is the heaviest you should attempt - so no heavy pans!!) So when they say 3 months they mean it because after 6 weeks when you are feeling so much better you can get tempted and that is when you can do yourself untold damage. Thirdly be prepared that you may feel exceedingly tired for about 6 to 12 months. This apparently is fairly normal but no one told me and I felt such a wimp because I slept so much in that time. It doesn't effect everyone the same way but if you are prepared for the possibility then you can pace yourself much better. Hope this is of some help BUT be assured you WILL FEEL SO MUCH BETTER ONCE IT IS DONE:l
